  1. Ready to get off work... New pillow is waiting.

  2. This thread is awesome. Exactly what I was looking for as far as ideas for the 4 door B210. I hope to pick one up next weekend. Now to see if I can "finish" the 620 enough to work on a B210 in one weekend :P
  3. Oh wow, that is beautiful... I say go with the hatched 510, I'm sure you can find one somewhere :) Side note, looks like I worked out a deal on that B210. Hope to bring it home next weekend
  4. For now? I have one. So far the only reason it will end up on a trailer would be for paint, but now that I am looking to paint it myself I don't need that anymore. I plan on picking up my second Datsun, a B210 next weekend. Luckily the seller is willing to deliver, so I dodge a bullet there. I think it is more that I want to be able to have a backup if something were to happen, or if I were to find a vehicle really far away (the B210 is 250 miles round trip). I have honestly looked at some old american trucks. Found a beater 63 chevy that looks promising, but I'm sure it will be gone before I get the money for it. As far as towing a rwd on a dolly, I don't think that is safe. I know plenty of people do it, but I also know my 620 steering does not lock. I have seen some pretty messed up cars because of steering locks failing. Well, I guess no one posted any funny pictures or stories so we will break down the most likely future for my car hauling experiences. Most likely I will find some old American V-8, buy my neightbors car carrier that hasn't moved 4 years, and go hunting. Lets just hope that the V-8 is pre 1980 so I can haul the Datsuns in style :)
  5. I was worried about the dolly because of it messing up the drivetrain on rwd vehicles. I know you can take the shaft out but I have heard that the rear ends can be damaged using a dolly.
  6. What... I have never seen these pink unicorns you speak of...
  7. Alright, I know I'm probably asking to get flammed here (same as with my thread on the civic...) but maybe I like the abuse! K dawg? Anyway, I have been racking my brain and thinking that if I really want to start building Datsuns I am going to need a few things. Storage space, a place for tools/equipment, a car carrier, and ofc a truck/SUV/some damn thing! that can pull the car carrier. Call me crazy but I think I am going to focus on that very last bit first since I'm sure I can talk my grandma out of an acre or so when I need it. So here goes. I am looking for something to pull a car carrier and, just because I like to be difficult, I would prefer it be a Datsun :P Nothing like a Datsun towing some Datsuns right? Sadly, something is telling me that there are no Datsuns that will be up to that task. Literally, I think I cried when this came to me. Unless I can grab some wildly modified 4x4, I can't see the stock Datsun frames being able to haul a car carrier and car very far. If someone can tell me I'm wrong I will be a little happier, but I'm scared of pulling 3500-5500lbs with a 2200lbs truck... Looks like for now I am uhauling cars to and fro, but hopefully people much smarter than me get their brains going on this and come up with some interesting ideas and/or funny stories/pictures :P What can I say, I'm bored...
  8. Very nice looking project. The more I look at the B210s the more I want one. Hope to get a green 4 door locally soon.
  9. Fuck Summit Racing and PayPal! Ordered lowering blocks and they are shipping to my old address even with my PayPal and Summit accounts set to my new address. Contacted customer service and they won't hold the order...

They wont hold the order thent hey will be refunding your money. File an item not received claim.

Its partially your fault too though your old address should have been deleted.

I know that, but it is easier to balim them. The reason it hasn't been deleted is PayPal is still trying to use it for a card that has a monthly debit on it, so I cannot remove the address unless I call Paypal and explain the situation. It annoys me because I have bought a ton of stuff and the address never got messed up till now...

  10. That is the third person from Macon that I have seen. Well, minus the yellow 240z that used to sit at Attaway Tire.
  11. If I had looked at that picture of the Mazda earlier I would have went with a different front disc conversion and got my old rims back. Sadly I will need the 15s with the brakes I am using, I do like those xterras but I would prefer to stick with a 15 if possible. Anyone else know of a fat 6 spoke, prefer steel so they can be widened unless they come in 15x10
  12. Awesome. Glad to see another Datsun saved. One of these days I hope to find a 410/411, but I don't have the space or money for one that old atm.
  13. I need a radiator and fuel tank for mine. Was tempted to take the one out of my civic for now but I honestly don't want to put any more stress on the charging system untill I can get a voltage gauge and see what is really going on. My charge light goes crazy every other night, but the battery never dies and the voltage regulator is brand new. I may have to bite the bullet and upgrade to internally regulated with more amps.
  14. What size is the steering wheel? I'll buy it tonight if itd 13.5" or smaller and if you accept PayPal.
  15. Not trying to thread jack, promise, but I may have found a Datsun car, or should I say one may have found me :P Looking at a 510 and a 4 door B210, hope the price is right :)
  16. Bench seat in king cab = more room for speakers (and less for legs...) :P
  17. That is beautiful... I would be afraid to driver that 510 because of all the crazy people around here.
  18. I would go for it, but then again you have owned plenty of these cars and I don't know your exact needs/wants here. I will be proactive and say you really want a 4-door and as soon as you buy this one you will probably find a 4-door. But to me this looks like it would be an amazing daily driver...
  19. Haha, crazy. It seems like you guys find these old Datsuns so easily... All I can find are overpriced 620s and z cars. Maybe I should save money and get Ratsun to help me find a 1200/510/610 :)
  20. Oh, in case anyone wants to see it, my old truck. Bought it just like that and the only thing I ever did to it was remove the bed liner. Hate those plastic liners with all their rust issues...
  21. So here goes, figured I would get flammed for it but what the hell. My 95 civic... Edit: just noticed, this was after my dad took the two 14s off the back and left me with 2 13s... looks kinda odd now that I am paying attention :P PO decided it was a smart idea to cut the front springs. He probably took 3-4 coils off. When you jack the front up you can grab the spring and move it up and down on the strut about 2-3 inches. It also came with the complimentary blown head gasket and shot vtec solenoid. The car does not get driven and has only been driven when everything else breaks down because I don't trust the suspension. The car was a trade for an LS/vtec swapped DA integra that I had since I was 18. Was a decent trade because they were both shot to hell. Long story short I have gathered a ton of parts for this car but haven't put anything together yet. My room looks like a salvage yard storage shed with a d16z6 complete head, complete intake manifold, kteller downpipe, greddy d(whatever) turbo kit (real greddy), cast exhaust manifold, replacement suspension parts, and the front half of a 620 (hood, tranny, cowl, badges, grill, cables, wires, ect). Plan: Not sure yet. I think I am going to replace the head and sell it to fund my 620 or some other Datsun/rwd toyota car project. I am tempted to throw all the parts on it, pick up some injectors and some chrome tuning and sell it for top dollar to some crazy ricer, but it is almost too clean for that, even if it is a honDUH...
