  1. I am mandatory at work on Saturdays until 4ish,which is one of the main reasons I haven't been able to attend the other areas meets, but I will keep trying to make it. Here's the other main reason, (this is the right front wheel hub on my daily driven 510 Goon)

I kind of like the sedan a bit more, but I like the coupe's and the wagons also.
  3. NICE! I have wanted to head down and check out the In-N-Out anyway! what is the date of the meet? I work Tuesday through Saturday, until 6 ish pm, but I will try to make it to this.
  4. Nice truck! I like those round side mirrors! I had one on my 521 when I bought it, but it was broken.

I could use some wagon specific parts from that, if you end up parting it out!
  7. Help! does anyone fairly near Canby,Wilsonville area have a pair of useable stock brake rotors for a '70 510 wagon, that i can get cheap,or even free? at some point, a previous owner put left side calipers on both sides, causeing the brakes on that side to drag, wearing out the inner brake pad,& the wheel bearings. i have a correct caliper, but i am fairly sure the rotor is worn on the inside,so it needs to be replaced. For some reason,my car uses the earlier style bearings,which...

Thanks go out to Draynor, & Shawn Drawdy! Draynor brought me a hub,& rotor,& Shawn Drawdy let me use his shop to fix this. Here's a picture of what's left of the old right front wheel hub from my car. That's the outer wheel bearing race floating around down inside the hub. I'm Amazed, and really Damn LUCKY the wheel didn't come off while I was driving! [url=http://s832.photobucket.com/user/lorenolver/media/Mobile Uploads/2015-10/20151028_121704...

Draynor brought me a hub & rotor. I was getting these from him soon anyway, as soon as he's done modifying the strut tubes, for Rabbit inserts,& coil over collars. Thanks to both Draynor,& Shawn Drawdy (for letting me use his shop,to replace the destroyed hub)! Here's a picture of what's left of my old right front wheel hub. 8. sorry to hear about your friend ,and your parts getting stolen. I keep telling you Buddy, you need to move to a better neighborhood. stuff gets stolen here sometimes too,but not as often as down there,& here people sometimes get their stuff back.
  9. Jester, I like the Jeep! I have always wanted one.
  10. Can I get those of you who are from the North group to let me know if you are going to head over for this tomorrow? I've been trying to get a head count for a few days. thanks!
  11. I'm attempting to coordinate a group of us from the north region to drive out for this.
  12. welcome! I can't wait to see pictures of your 521 ! I will pass along the same advice I was given about lowering. get 720 4x4 rear leaf springs. I am going with a combination of these leaf springs,& 2" lowering blocks. I am also using a one piece driveline from a 520,so no need to worry about the carrier bearing.
  13. it would possibly look better without the G-nose.
  14. Nice score! that's a nice little truck. I would love to have one like that for a daily driver.
  15. I think they're modifying one to work with those carbs. and thank you! sometimes I think this thread drags along without enough activity, much like the project itself. ah well, what can I do?
  16. I'm not sure why I didn't notice it was the wrong manifold for my FOUR CYLINDER. I guess I was just too excited about finding a set of SU's that I could actually afford,& I needed a carburetor for this truck, so I jumped on the deal. oops! THANK YOU to Steve & Bruce at Z therapy for fixing my mistake!
  17. this truck will be running SU's from a Z, on a manifold made for me by Z therapy. Steve saved my ass there! I bought the carbs from a friend from Facebook. we have talked so much about this truck, that I assumed he knew what I was using the carbs for. He assumed I knew what I was buying,& that they had come off a Z. Luckily for me, the Z manifold, etc were parts that Z therapy wanted, & they had what I needed to make the carbs work on my L20b.
  18. I bought a new water pump for this, but I don't remember seeing a bolt in the box. I can ORDER ONE through Nissan, but that means waiting. that gear is spendy new.
  19. I want to take a second to thank everyone who came to the meet/BBQ Sunday! I know some others tried to make it,& thank you for trying. Jester,& his wife Cathy, Phil Castro, Gabby , Mike " Arizona Jones", & special thanks to Shawn Drawdy & his wife Becca for hosting this event! I'm really looking forward to our next get together! - Loren
  20. My rebuilt l20b for my 521 is missing a few important parts. I need the oil pump drive geat,& the long water pump bolt. If anyone has these parts, that they can spare, please let me know. Thanks!

I have 10 of the OP/Dist drives, what did you do with the original one from your 521? If it had the L16 motor, the drive will fit the L20B

I went ahead & ordered the bolt from Nissan. I have found a matching gear & distributor drive from my good friend Aaron.

  21. So,while Shawn & I were working on the engine, he noticed that a few parts are missing. One is the oil pump/drive gear, that goes on the crankshaft, the other is the long water pump bolt. If anyone has these parts, that they can spare, please let me know.
  22. As usual, I was too involved in talking to everyone, & I forgot to take pictures. Here's one Shawn Drawdy's wife Becca took. Hopefully other people took some,& will post them.
  23. Today's the day for our September meet / Potluck style BBQ. No we're not going to let a little rain stop us! I hope you all are able to make it today!
  24. I appreciate the offer! I will see you tomorrow at the BBQ.
