Today the husband and I took Stanley for a fun run through the canyons to the beach and lunch at Duke's. Beautiful day and fun drive.

I think tomorrow I will take Stanley for a new year fun run around Mulholland.

I am happy to report that the door panels from a hatchback will fit a 2-door. Finally got around to replacing my door glass and one of the panels. One of these days I'll make some new ones.

Today we took a joyride down Sunset Blvd. Love watching fools come speeding up from behind, moving around me only to slam on brakes when they see the cop I was driving behind. Dumb asses. Here's a couple of action shots. It was a beautiful day out there.

Finally got mom's house cleaned out and escrow has closed. The last two months have been stressful. Glad it's over and she's getting the hell out of San Berna-ghetto (San Bernardino for those lucky enough not to live there). Life can return to normal.

You have my sympathy! I was staioned at Norton AFB and left for :Higher Education" just brfore the Air Force built many affordable housing units for Enlisted Personnel just before the closed Norton AFB [ now the optomistic San Bernardino International airport (good luck). The base move transferred 400 or more Air Force, and about 1000 Civilian and contract support bodies and families to El Segundo CA. The total San Bernardino housing market tanked! House were abanded and taken...

I was born in the Inland Empire and raced those streets back in the 70's when it was the speed "speed" capital of the west coast. And we aren't talking cars here. It was a "hard town" then. There are nice areas, but overall it has just decayed. Good timing getting her out to a nicer life!

cruznude: The place is just a complete hole. Too many gangs. Shootings all the time. The people look haggard. All of them look like crack heads. It's been in a downward spiral for over 20 years and it only gets worse. Never seems to get better. It wasn't so bad when I was growing up but now....I'm just glad I never have to go there again.

Just saw a white 210 on the 210 near Monrovia. No pic cause it was surrounded by other cars. Couldn't get a clear shot.

I grew up in San Berna-ghetto. That place has been in a downward spiral for over 25 years. It just continues to get worse. It's a complete shit hole. At one point there were shootings 3-4 times a week and all weekend. One time there was a drive by and one of the cars ended up in our neighbor's yard. Driver was shot in the head. People getting shot on the street behind my mom's house, bodies being found within a 2-3 block radius. I've been dying to get my mom the hell out of there and finally it's happening. We've had her house in escrow for the last 4 weeks while we clean out the place and pack her stuff up. I can't wait for the day I never have to go out there again. Escrow closes in 9 days. That act of terorism was a sad pathetic attempt at their allegiance to whatever asshat they bow to. San Bernardino? Come on! SB would be the last place I'd bother with. Shootings are nothing new there but they don't normally happen in city businesses. They're too busy killing each other on the streets. I hate that town! Sad because it used to be a nice area. Now it's like everyone is either a gang banger or meth head. Everyone looks broken and haggard.
