Lozer
Now i have not seen a pic nor do have i found any info on this. Is this even a possibility? I have access to an a12 peanut and an a14 open head would either of these work on an l20b and what would the outcome be? Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
OHC vs OHV. Think about it. Quote Link to comment
Cuts metal like mad
OHC vs OHV. Think about it. This means that the a12 is push rod... And l20b is not, so not compatible Quote Link to comment

DRIVEN
Camless engines are cool.:D If you can pull this of you'll be famous 'round here. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I think BMW has a cam less motor and no throttle plate either. Valve lift and duration are set by solenoid. At idle there is hardly any lift and only like a teaspoon of air gets in so no need for a throttle. Imagine variable lift and duration... holy shit!!! Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
Last I heard BMW's camless engine was still pretty much a research engine, it was supposed to go into production in 2003 (quoted in 1999) and 2007 (quoted in 2005) but I don't think it made it to production yet. Fiat was hoping to launch a camless engine for the 2009 model year, but it probably is delayed too. Camless/throttleless systems actually use the valves as the throttle. Quote Link to comment
