  1. So did it just shear the pin? Or break the bolt. Me thinks the bolt walked out. Either way that sucks i feel for you.
  2. By all means you can throw it together and go with 7 psi on 85 just remember the engine has no knock sensor to pull timing when it goes ping ping POP. If this is your first turbo build then go slow and don't jump right into max psi or max hp. Build it to be reliable first, work out the bugs (there will be lots) then slowly turn it up. Remember one good boost spike or bad ping and the thing is done.. Make sure you have a wideband and a way to adjust your fuel map. (safc has worked ok for me but for the money a good tune will save your motor) Also Snow meth injection kits work pretty well with raising the octane. Out of curiosity whats your budget and whats it going into.
  3. Depends on the turbo, leak down, and injctors. Ive heard with a t25 4 psi being max with all good stock setup. Fact is your just building a time bomb with an old motor. For the cost of the ka24et you can buy an sr20det thats built to handle boost and bolts in just the same.

  5. Not to throw a damper on your set up but.... if you boxed the speakers in to the manufacturer recommended cu ft the would sound substantially better. It looks good tho.
  6. Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone has the hook up on the little chrome connectors for the windshield trim?

  9. Hey at least he didn't try to rape the aids out of him....
  10. Welp just got my JBC v3 rack installed. After an alignment i took it out for a spin and HOLY SHIT this thing drives like my corvette... Im running 15x10 wheels and i have the 2.4 turn rack which with the JBC setup has me at 2 turns lock to lock. Jesus I need to work on my forearms or take some caster out. The v3 saved me from selling this car.
  11. Im waiting for my set up from jbc now. Whats the driving like?
  12. So im thinking about doing a datsun bbq at Jug handle up in caspar, ca Parking is free. The beach is awesome and its chill. How many interested? Im thinking sometime next month or so.
  13. Yea my 4 bolt diamond wheels are standard lug angle.
  14. After the autox today I will not be running those springs. LOL they were to adress the understeer issues.
  15. So after bashing my skull in for a few minutes. I made a perfect box around the car, measured from 20 different spots on the frame, chassis, and suspension pick up points to get it dead center. Conclusion was front pass side was 3/4" in and driver side was 1/8" got down did a full alignment and extended the LCA and now my front is 1/4" wider then the rear and my understeer issue seems to be gone + the steering is substantially lighter......
  16. Running flares and adjustable everything with 280zx brake/struts. Front rim offset is 5" rear is 5.25" Ride height is 6" front and 6.5" in the rear measured from the where the top of the body seam. ok so the front is 66.5" rim lip to rim lip Front spring is 350 lbs with the futofab ka/sr sway bar. Rear is 66.25 rim lip to rim lip. with 475lbs rear springs (coil overs) (i know too stiff but i like it) no rear bar. Im still measuing so i'll get back to with more info in a bit.
  17. So I'm looking at my dime and notice the front track width is substatially wider then the rear (2"). I've been fighting with some understeer issues and having alot of scrub. That being said the rear is sticking down like is glued in turns. I'm running a 71 510 (adjustable everthing) with an sr20det, 4.44 lsd, 10" wide 16" wheels. So Im wondering what anyone else is running track width wise for thier autox/ track toy.

    Datsun BBQ......

Had that happen in an old scirocco. This was due to the cable sitting on the top mount turbo down pipe. Lasted a long time too.
