If everyone could keep their eye out of a 1980-82 4x4 long bed 720 front diff for a me that would be great.  We need the gearset for our racecar.  I did the car-part.com search.  couldn't find one.  I will keep searching, but with your help maybe I could find one faster.

Thanks guys!

Jeff... the '86-'89 Z24i powered WD21 were all 4.625 and had the same R-180 front differential.

No it's only in the early Z24i powered WD21 Pathfinder. The D21 is the Hardbody. I should have said so.

Nissan discontinued the four cylinder Z24i for '90 and continued with their VG30E engines after.  I've never seen a 4 cylinder Pathfinder. Even with 4.625s it must be slow.

Remember the D21 R180 is a shorty.  Won't work with the 510 suspension.  We need the long guy.  Similar to the Subi diff.

I think it's only 1980 long bed that has the 4.6 gears.  So an 82 will most likely have the 4.11 or 4.37

Local yard has several 4x4 720's, what ratio you want? What's in it for me?

I could kick you some cash for getting it.  I need the 4.6 gear ratio, which is only 1980 long bed 4x4.  If you get me the vin I could look it up for you.  I can also change where it says "member" under your name to "king Diff finder"

"Got my D" more appropriately

It will be at least a week before I can get to the yard. I pulled a windshield from a 4x4 720 King Cab a few months ago that may have been a 80'. There are several other 4x4 720's at that yard. 80's are uncommon here, I think I have seen one L20b in the various yards in the past 15 years, and that was in a 710 goon.

There is a tag inner right fender that will say what engine and differential. Only the '80 had the L20B

L20B 1951cc

Bottom right HF46 for the 4.625 ratio.

The '80 hood is unique with louvers at back of the hood near the plenum where the wiper linkages are.

Might be worth a call at least.

Good point.

Honestly I need to open up the R180 we got.  If it's 4.11 the 4.37 might be good enough.
