TimmyG
Can someone please tell me their experience with purchasing a brand new radiator from Auto Zone, Oreiley's etc... What brand and if it was an OEM fit without modifying it? And does it cool the same as your previous one? This truck has the auto trans with oil cooler in bottom of radiator. I have seen this one listed at Auto Zone under the Duralast name and also on Rock Auto under the Spectra name, same photo. 1 Quote Link to comment

bottomwatcher
Yes. I am usually skeptical of their parts and wanted to get an aluminum one but my old one crapped out and I grabbed the duralast for instant gratification rather than ordering something. Everything slipped together although I have a manual trans. 1 Quote Link to comment
wayno
What you need a radiator for, your 720? 1 Quote Link to comment

NC85ST
I put one in my 85 several years ago and it still works great. Only problem I ever noticed is side supports coming loose. Only saw it when I replaced the water pump. 2 Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
I would buy 2 at that price and if it fits like stock. I wish I had got more USA made Modine Rads when they were still making them Edited September 11, 2019 by banzai510(hainz) 1 Quote Link to comment
TimmyG
Well, upon further inspection I actually think it's my cap that's leaking! I never actually found a crack in the top of the radiator and the rubber under the cap is broken and trashed looking. Swapped to a new cap today. So far so good. Much quicker and cheaper fix 😂😂😂 Quote Link to comment
wayno
It's always good when there is a happy ending. 1 Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
I would still get the rad as a spare 1 Quote Link to comment
