airedout
dunno, tire size i guess, plus the tierods were hitting the frame,i could have notched it but that would have sent the camber out of controll,so i did a zclip instead:) Ah, I see, i missed the part about z-ing the frame. Work looks good so far. What made you go with a 2 link over a 4 link??? Quote Link to comment
impala_631
bro that truck is looking sicker each time i check it out!!! you wont only fit in the ratrod room...............you should dominate it!!!!! hey by the way what kind of grinder did you use to make the whites fatter? thanks, just a angle grinder with a hard wheel, then a 80grit flap Quote Link to comment

What made you go with a 2 link over a 4 link??? quicker/cheaper,but the 3&4link is a much better setup, ive been considering doing a 3link wishbone setup but i dunno Quote Link to comment

bdydrp22
I have seen this truck in person and it is lookin bad ass.The frame looks really good.very clean and simple.keep a look out cuz this thing is coming together fast! ....u ruined it man Quote Link to comment
BEEBANI
Looking really goo bro, one question/suggestion though; are you gonna get rid of the u-bolted on 2-link bars? That's really the only weak link (no pun intended) I see in your setup. Truck's gonna be tough, don't think there are any dropped 520's out there right now. Quote Link to comment

impala_631
i cut the bag plates off the front and dropped them down 2"so i can get more lift, also reworked the ugly aarm mount and plated it with some 1/4" Quote Link to comment
airedout
thanks to this guy for helping me pulled the cab several times....in the freezeing cold:eek: I would suggest leaving the u-bolts even though it is welded. With the suspension having absolutely no side to side flex, your weakest point will be at the mounts for the links, and the link to the axle. Over time even the best welds in the world will break. The u bolts are just an extra safety precaution. Quote Link to comment
impala_631
been really busy lately,we just had our second kid so the datsun has been on the backburner, but i did end up doing a wishbone suspension and flipped the frame to weld all the seams, hopefully start getting more progress soon:) Quote Link to comment
