Oh hell yah. Did you take that pict? I lived two blocks from there on Vallejo at Grant in North Beach back in the late 80s. My wife and I lived there for 13 years. The guy who lived under us, Phil Sinclair was the manager of that place and the Hungry Eye back in the 60s. He was booking acts like Richard Pryer and Barbra Streisand before they blew up. He was also the publicist for Lona Turner before she died. Man could that guy tell stories. There was a film made about his life called Public Relations: The Phillip Sinclair Story. He passed away in 95 and all those stories went with him.

It's sad what North Beach has devolved into. Fucking fraternity extension program today, but man was that place hop'n back in the day. We were lucky enough to catch the tail end of it. We moved there after the 89 earthquake and paid $700 a month for a 750 sq ft one bedroom. Today that same place is renting for $2,800. All that funky culture was wiped out in the dot com hurricane. Now the whole city is indistinguishable from any boomtown USA. Money ruins everything cool I guess.

paradime, I remember Phil Sinclair. I met him in the summer of 1973 when I was 18. He rescued me in a way. I was grateful, and he was a gentleman. Sold Cadilacs, I think; said they sold themselves. Do you know where I might find the "Public Relations: The Phillip Sinclair Story"? I found a picture of him with Lana Turner on ebay, and recall he had lots of those pictures on his bedroom wall. I knew he died.

I saw the movie on it's premiere, and I think Phil had passed away by then. I've snooped around looking for years, but never found anything, or the guy who produced it. Phil was a character in the highest degree, and the undisputed King of Campy. I did some society PR photography for him back in the day, from Carol Doda to Marvin Belli. His house was a museum of SF and Hollywood history. SF Gate has a cool obituary on him, but it just scratches the surface of who that guy really was. True warrior for the arts, and 1st amendment. https://www.sfgate.com/news/article/OBITUARY-Phillip-Sinclair-3031479.php

I'd like to nominate Ranman72 as the Liker King of Ratsun. This one's for you my friend!

2023 Krämer EVO2-690 R Supermono

This insane 1:3.25 power to weight ratio single nut thumper has Max Redline: 10,500 rpm . Power: 85HP, 55.3 lb-ft · Weight: 276 lbs. . That's only .025 less than a 1300cc Hayabusa, but has 10% more relative torque from a single cylinder with the same redline, and at half the weight it can run circles around it cornering. Just let that sink in a minute. Below is the 2019 version, but you get the idea.
