Profile
Thank you. Looks like it would have been an easy target if used in WW2. Quote Link to comment

MarkB.
Martin-Baker M.B. 5 Very late-war British prototype. Rolls-Royce Griffin power, Mustang style radiator. Laminar flow wing. Not much of an improvement on existing piston types and the jet fighter writing was on the wall. Only one or two were built. Program cancelled. Prototypes destroyed. A replica was started several years ago using Mustang parts. Last I heard, the incomplete airframe was in a hanger in Reno. 1 Quote Link to comment

q-tip
Russian bombers use them. The bear, the loudest prop driven aircraft ever to fly, I think it was turbo prop too if I'm not mistaken. Quote Link to comment

VFR800
A United Airlines plane being loaded with airmail from a Model T Ford mail truck. United reaches all the way back to April 6, 1926, when they were founded as Varney Air Lines in Boise, Idaho. In 1930 they were bought by United Air Transport and in 1934 they and three other airlines merged to form United Airlines. 1 Quote Link to comment
