Did 1 door tonight.

Here is a break down for you.

Step 1: Remove carpet. Some of u may not have this option. Ok none of you have this option.

Installing the seal is pretty self explanatory. But if someone really needs pics I will try to remember to take some when I do the other side.

But here is the rivet and the tool to do it for those who are wondering what the tool is to do this.

I used the Aussie vent window seals. They fit well. Was very easy to install and fits nice around glass.

I didn't have that carpet option, but someone did cram & glue an extra stainless channel & felt into the front of my driver side channel - something from a different vehicle.  It seems they also re-ground the window as the glass is too narrow now and doesn't seal!

I assume you already had that rivet squeezer from other jobs?  That rivet looks great!

Here is one, I think it should come with a handle but pic doesn't show it. U also got to buy dies. I have flat ones and the ones u need are the ones with the concave on one and a concave with a dimple on the other. The rivets are just regular semi-tubular rivets. I think I used 3/16" ones. They sell them at ACE hardware maybe Orchard Supply if u have that in ur area.

U insert the combo of dies u need in tool. Dimple side goes into the open end of rivet.

I did not sew anything. I was putting a binding on but it was too thick for my machine. I made 5 pieces. 1 for the tunnel from front to back. 2 for the humps on the firewall and 2 for the floor one on each side of the tunnel from front to back and it overlaps the center one. Pretty much how VWS are done.

Carpet is on a roll at hd and the have green, dark grey, and beige.

Since this rivet seems to be an issue. I have an idea on how to make a tool for this job. I can make one and test it. I could sell it for $20 for the tool holder and u purchase the dies yourself. I might make 5 of them. If this interests you let me know. I have a pretty good concept in my head that it think will work out nice and better then you could make without a mill.

I'm glad I made the trip down. Even with the wife and kids. Sorry had to cut out, but the kids were done. It was a lot of work just getting in to the show and out.

Had a good time and saw some cool cars I've never heard of before.

Nice to finally meet MrBigTanker (Ray). U want me to work on ur shit, help me find a way to get my wife to find a job down here!
