zhent
I started with the grill on the top and disassembled it, drilling out the rivets and straightening the cross bars and ribs as best I could. I then cut some mesh to size, and reassembled with screws instead of rivets. Here's how it looks on the car. I'm still working on straightening the bottom... Mesh - $1.47 Screws- $1.99 Quote Link to comment
hang_510
is that stuco mesh? ive been looking for something similiar, in stainless though... nice job  i have bamboo forest in my yard and found that small sections of it, and a hammer, are effective at convincing the metal to return to its original shape  Quote Link to comment

zhent
i realize this thread is over a year old...but i was wondering how you put the badge on the new grill? Just like putting it on the regular grille, with the hardware on teh badge... I'm not even running that grille anymore... Quote Link to comment
gokiburix
i guess im S.O.L. because the stems on the back of my badge were so rusted that they just crumbled when i took them off the stock grill. :'( I'll have to figure something out. What grill are you running now? You didn't like your custom grill after all? Quote Link to comment
RatRod25
Mesh - $1.47 Screws- $1.99 I like it.. I think it would look good dark grey or even satin black... What pcd said expanded metal would work good to.. Not so chicken coop like, its a heaver material.. Quote Link to comment
