I think that happens when they sit for years under something like a tree where it stays wet/moist for months and months. Quote Link to comment

wayno Posted July 28, 2014 Report Share Posted July 28, 2014 Yep, them are Datsun mirrors, they are the best truck mirrors in my opinion, they may not be the most user friendly, but I like the design the best myself. No rust, just a bit on bolts I consider this type below to be the most user friendly, for me anyway, you can flip the mirror over so that it faces forward, then twist it around so it is a foot farther out from the door, that way if you are hauling a trailer or have a lot of stuff loaded on the truck you can still see because it is a lot farther out.
