a.d._510_n_ok
Gregg Allman was one of the few remaining class of southern rock, make me feel like I am,.. Their sound changed so much after Duane was killed. They went from dark and blues-y (Whipping Post) to kinda detached and lighter but sadder also. Their later tunes remind me of Marshal Tucker. 2 Quote Link to comment
a.d._510_n_ok
VTR, do you remember 1981, my brother? I have had this album on 8-track, LP, cassette (twice) and CD. These dudes once ruled the universe. I like them better than Dire Straits BTW. 1 Quote Link to comment

When your in your 20's and your brother dies, it is going to have a major impact. Especially when your brother is Duane Allman. 1 Quote Link to comment

paradime
7.-Jungle 24:20 One of the direct memories of my older brother being a god of music. He new I would like this song before I new what music I liked. Here's a flashback, this is the theme song from NBC Wide World of Sports back in the 70s. At around 2:40... Oh Fuck Yeah! 4 Quote Link to comment
