DARIN 510
Okay so OS GIKEN is in the works of doing the tc16 again. Thought the ratsun community would enjoy this. Someone on Instagram posted this from the NOS2days in japan a few days ago. What do you guys think. Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Looks like an SR20DE with carbs Quote Link to comment
RTB
Pure sex but webers instead of mikunis? Cmon guys. Quote Link to comment
HRH
I'll take one, feel free to ship it to NAPA Auto Parts in Cheney, WA. :D Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Going to be noisy, it doesn't have a silent roller chain like the SR20DE. Quote Link to comment
Boy Blunder
If only this was SCCA legal, and I win the lottery. Awesome news though. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
If only this was SCCA legal, and I win the lottery. Awesome news though. If that was the case, you could buy a real LZ and probably sneak past the SCCA rules? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
You wouldn't need an LZ if you had one of those. LZ head was about $9,000 USD in 1978 Quote Link to comment

captaingamez
Looks like an SR20DE with carbs Except it doesnt have a bad joke for a valve train setup. No floating rocker arms would be coming from O.S. lolol. Pure sex but webers instead of mikunis? Cmon guys. Easier tuning, similar power output. Glad they extended this project to the inline 4's Quote Link to comment
DARIN 510
I really like how they fixed the intake/exhaust layout. It was stupid to put it on the other side. And now gear driven I would imagine its gonna howl a little. Quote Link to comment
captaingamez
Yeah I wonder why they did them like that originally, the I6s (TC24) were all/are all on the left side right? I imagine the gear driven cams will be a bit noisy too. They probably take less power to run with that gearing setup though. Quote Link to comment
DARIN 510
Yeah they where but the tc16 came first before the tc24 so maybe some trial and error. But yeah still doesn't make sence to put the exhaust on the other side. Can't wait for them run it in something like how they did with the z. Quote Link to comment
captaingamez
Ahh I see, I didnt know which came first. Its odd because its on the toyota side, lol. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
TC24 - exhaust on left side of engine TC16 - exhaust on the correct side of engine Nissan LZ - exhaust on left side of engine Quote Link to comment
DARIN 510
First design. Exhaust on the right side. Quote Link to comment
