First post and first Datsun

Yesterday I bought my first Datsun, it's a '79 620 King Cab. I paid $1200 for it, when I saw it I fell in love with it and didn't even try to haggle. I've got some work ahead of me but I think It's gonna be well worth it. I'm not going to try and do an original restore, I do want to have some original parts to it (shift boot, right wiper arm, dash, etc.) but the exterior I'm wanting to have custom painted and most likely custom carpet, liner and seats. The thing is I don't even know where to start looking for what I want/need.

Like I said I've got some work ahead of me but I feel it's gonna be worth it and absolutely a labor of love. Any tips or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the warm welcome y'all and for the praise on my truck! ggzilla, I found an A1 Carpet just south of Savannah, we'll be heading to Savannah when it warms up to visit my step-daughter who is in college there, so I'll just head down there then thanks for the tip!

You've started looking in the right place already methinks. B)

These trucks are definitely a labor of love dude. If yah don't love it it prolly won't love you back. lol

Nice truck btw. I noticed that passenger side fender is fix/smashed in the photos. How does it stand now?

Keep it riding high! Lowriders are cool, but if the roads in Layfayette are as bad as the ones here and in the Clayton/Hiawasse you'll love the extra clearance.
