Mikeystoy
Traded a built Chrysler notrod for a '75 B210 coupePlan is to clean it up, replace the destroyed vinyl top with bedliner, and stripe it period correct. As the Honey Bee was a sedan marketed to young female college students, I'm going to do this up as the "Killer Bee" with period stripes, period lettering and a more aggressive bee.Pics when I get home. 1 Quote Link to comment
MikeRL411
Plymouth Crickets and Desoto! You must really love to hunt for parts. For your "Killer Bee" you might want to use the WW2 SeaBee emblem? Quote Link to comment

Mikeystoy
no, I want this to look like an actual dealer release; like the honey bee. When I first got it the Chrysler I traded; View My Video got it home and yoinked the ratty seats out of it.; celica seats; rubbed a little polish on it; painted the grille and put modern H4 lights in it; 1 Quote Link to comment
Mikeystoy
the Desoto; The Cricket; I've had this since I was 5 Its A14/60 series 5 speed powered. Quote Link to comment
king bee66
the honey bee was a trim option for the 2 door sedan, what you have is a 2 door coupe. you can add the honey bee strips to your car and it will look nice, but wont be like anything that was ever sold by a dealer Quote Link to comment
Camtron
Sweet ride! the honey bee was a trim option for the 2 door sedan, what you have is a 2 door coupe. you can add the honey bee strips to your car and it will look nice, but wont be like anything that was ever sold by a dealer He said in the first post that since the Honey Bee was a sedan, this will be a "Killer Bee". I think he just wants it to look like it would look if they had done the coupe as an option. Quote Link to comment

Mikeystoy
I'm debating on whether to paint the stripe thin like it's been there since '75 Quote Link to comment
Mikeystoy
Last weekend I pulled the dash apart to fix the speedo. The needle was just sitting on the shaft! Whilst I was there, I decided to fix the dead vents. See? you can neither open nor close the vent. I removed them and disassembled them. This is due to the thin scored plastic breaking. In all the B210s I've owned (7) I've never seen a good one. I had these fun little guys from my '62 Rambler project. They're available from Vintage air for like $12. Removed the ball vent from the housing and trimmed to just fit in the Datsun housing; Back together again and no more drafts; Quote Link to comment
Mikeystoy
THIS weekend I installed my early birfday present! wing mirrors!! eBay for like $39 shipped; a little dubious about quality, but on they go; the mirror components; Measured and drilled the holes. I applied some paint to the bare metal and let it dry for a while; Installed!; Inside; 2 Quote Link to comment

Mikeystoy
you seriously need to trade me that Subaru wags for my turbo pinto wags..... Finally got tired of my sticking, made in china, crappy lawn tractor ignition switch......so's I go onto Rock Auto because it would cost me $120 through work. I order up the acdelco for $59 figuring it would just be a chinese knock off. It arrives via fedex tied to my fence in a trash bag  When I opened it, it was in a Standard box. I figured; Score! higher end replacement! Then I open it and the first thing I see is the 'Nissan Motor' on the key I get excited Then I see the 'Made in Japan' I get more excited Then I see the 'Kanto Senki' Eff Yes! NOS parts! Plug it in and turn it on and all is well. It took me longer to find an 8mm than it did to actually install the damn thing! The shitty tractor ignition the p.o. installed All done. Just need to find the ring to finish it off Tomorrow I will replace the 4 blade fan with an electronic one Quote Link to comment
Mikeystoy
A '70 D100 swb with bad kingpins and this rig with all my tools weighing 14,000lbs was too much. I had the power (roller 318) and the Brakes; but I couldn't keep it on the road no matter how I loaded it. The Dodge; '70 shortwide with a '63 front nose and a F200 bumper 1 Quote Link to comment

Mikeystoy
pulled up the soggy carpet and found some holes; so I cut out the bad section, Went over to the scrap washer/dryer in the back of my Sweptline; welded it in with my handy-dandy Wal-Mart flux core welder; Got my vintage aftermarket wiper delay hooked up, just need to build a bracket. Dug up all my cruise control parts, need a day to install. Adjusted the clutch, pulled enough leaves out of my cowl to fill a coffee can, replaced my rear markers with amber, and went to pnp for weatherstrips. Quote Link to comment
Mikeystoy
a little preview; the angry bee and font; the stripe and placement; 2 Quote Link to comment
Mikeystoy
got some work done today my 2 yearold son decided to help..... a little preview..... Quote Link to comment
Mikeystoy
I also decided to change the title. Killer bees didn't exist in '75 and use of the word "killer" in a car model probably wouldn't fly. I figure I'll call it a Honey Bee Stinger. There is 'Stinger' in the stripe, and I'm debating using a small Honey Bee logo over where the original B210 logos were. Quote Link to comment
