Bleach
I should buy it and garage it just to keep it out of the wrong hands! ;) Quote Link to comment
BEEBANI
I'd buy it if he'd take $5k. Quote Link to comment
71DIMER
Damn, I wish I would have waited 3 years...lol. I would have gladly paid that when I was looking for my 510 then. Now I have too much into mine but I'm still happy with the KA24DE in it...I'm sure I'd love the SR20DET more though :( hahaha. I wish him luck with the sale. Quote Link to comment
chumstone
Why would he only get $6k for it? Is the car all rusted. all the parts would probably cost more than that. Just another lesson that these cars are not worth building when you can buy a swapped car complete or almost complete. It can be a long wait but worth it, from what I'm seeing. Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Oh, there worth building.....just not selling when your done. Two seperate things that ;) Quote Link to comment
71DIMER
Well when ones are currently at $20k bids http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-510-DATSUN-510-SR20DET-LSD-BRIDE-DEFI-GREDDY-SHOW-QUALITY_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a1071Q7c39Q3a1Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c240Q3a1308QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem330260147387QQitemZ330260147387 granted it's SUPER clean, for a decent 510 like the one in Seattle (if it only needs bodywork and paint like ad says) it's not bad at all. I'd rather get the Seattle 510 for well over half as much as the current bid or less than 1/3 the seller's reserve price and fix up the body and paint it my choise of color. I'm pretty sure it would still be less $$$ than $28K by a good amount don't you think? Quote Link to comment
Bleach
well, the eBay one has more differences than just good bodywork and paint ;) but ya, the $8500 Datsun is a nice car and a clean SR install. Quote Link to comment
bendizzle_for_shizzle
SOOOOOLLLLLDDDDDDDD! Just kidding.... That's my car alright, it's the first car i've really built up, and I learned alot while doing it (read: there's a lot of mistakes I need to do-over). I put it up for sale because I was kinda on the fence about keeping it and making it really nice, or selling it to pay off some debt.... Now I've realized for sure, there's no way I could get rid of it, I'd kick myself to the end of time, and hainz would never let me live it down, so I'm definitely keeping it. p.s. that ebay car is WAAAAAYYYY nicer than mine. Jason
I don't know about that Ben, it's all in the details and you can sure handle that with time! Glad you not selling the car though, I'd be sad to see someone else driving her with all the work you have in her man! Quote Link to comment
