Zack M.
Nothing yet. Just talked to the insurance company about the claim etc. Once I'm off work I will be talking to the Police dept to give them the information regarding my cell phone being used in another town. Tristin
My phone was in the car and foolishly enough the perps (presumably) were using it after looking in my AT&T usage log. Got incoming and outgoing calls, almost all of them in Antioch CA. Will be notifying the Antioch police Tuesday and speaking to Concord police to see if there is anything they can do with those call logs etc. Im not sure what kind of phone you have, but some have locating services for lost phones. If my car was stolen with my iPhone in it I would use "Find My iPhone" and it would give me a GPS location on where the phone is at. Maybe you have something similar. 1 Quote Link to comment

Tristin
Now that I put on the QR and new wheel, Ive been bringing the steering wheel in with me at night. Its not the end-all-be-all of anti-theft measures, but its better than nothing in this shady neighborhood I live in. 1 Quote Link to comment
Zack M.
Just got the word. The car has been found, out in the Pittsburgh/Antioch area. Probably just ran out of gas, no key for the fuel door. No reported damage or parts missing either. Should get her back today. Thanks for all the concern and help everybody. Time to put some GPS in it so this won't happen again! 17 Quote Link to comment

datson4life
We still gotta know who did it and show their faces to the datsun community! Good to hear u got it back, hope it's in good shape Quote Link to comment
69dime
Congrats. Now make sure you put some decent theft protection in that thing so it doesn't happen again, and keep it in sight. In my opinion that little wimpy lock won't keep someone from breaking the fuel door open. Just got the word. The car has been found, out in the Pittsburgh/Antioch area. Ranman72
any anti theft deterrent is better then nothing theivs steal the easier targets if there is visible deterrent it is likely they will go on to another vehicle this is cool they found it 1 Quote Link to comment
FiveSeventyZee
NICE! glad you're getting it back. hopefully its the way you left it Quote Link to comment
danfiveten
Thank god its back. My 510 has been stolen 3 times, always came back thank god. Now it sits boxed in by other cars, with 2 kill switches. Not only that my window has a perfect view of her and my gun is a quick reach, i dont care if my car gets a bullet hole as long as its still in my possession . 3 Quote Link to comment
Zack M.
Just got it back to my parents house. They jacked up the ignition and the key was a struggle to get in and would not turn in any direction. All the wiring seems to be intact, hopefully they did not actually drive it like it was stolen and trash the motor and then just leave it for dead. Had to get it towed but at least it's safe now. 4 Quote Link to comment
FiveSeventyZee
I would change all fluids and check how they look. as for the ignition, I never used mine in my old dime. I had a push button starter with a hidden kill switch. I always put the key in the ignition so it wasnt obvious and the starter button was out of sight as well. I wired the kill switch to kill power to the ign coil so even if someone found the starter button and got the car on it would crank and you could hear the fuel pump running but as long as the kill switch was flipped it would never spark...prolonged crank + ratty old datto (mine was ratty, yours is quite nice) would probably result in the would be thief thinking it was a POS and leaving. though the system was never tested (to my knowledge) Quote Link to comment
