ratsun73
is is so hard to find a 6 lug rear, i am really close to buying a set of 3/4 ton chevy axles for $100, is this a bad idea? Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
I am using a 1996 4Runner rear axle. 6 lug and 60.5" wide. Bonus is that it has an e-locker, actually dropping the diff off today to get re-geared. Cost me $700 for the complete axle. Edit: Keep in mind those chevy axles are full width and will be about 6" wider than the wagoneer axle you have up front. You could use the rear out of the pathfinder your getting the column from. ratsun73
do you think I will brake the toyota rear? Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Toyota rears are good up to a 38" tire for the most part. There are guys beating the stock rears with 40" tires and you can always get chromoly or some other strong aftermarket shafts for them. Quote Link to comment
carnuck
Long time since I've been here. Don't know what part of WA you are in, but I see FSJ axles on CL all the time. I just happen to have a degree in Jeepology and roots back to a 411 SSS 4 dr convertible and SD33T in military tugs. Quote Link to comment
