Jesse C.
The Malco Gasser! Haven't seen that in ages. Where was that picture taken? i have a Friend who has a Willys with a 427 in it. I was amazed to find that it actually ran! The current photos are from the Henry Ford Museum, where it currently resides. It was cosmetically restored a few years ago and yes, it still fires up! "Ohio" George Montgomery kept it pretty much intact all these years and restored it for the museum. He was smart enough to keep his cars after they got phased out. The car was originally powered with a Cadillac engine, hence the color of the car, it is Cadillac Pastoral Blue. Then it got the Cammer and a chop. 3 Quote Link to comment

Profile
Ohio George won the 59 NHRA nationals with a Cad engine in the car. At that time it had a spair tire on the deck lid. Tire was full on concrete for better traction. I helped him remove the tire to try the traction without it. One run and it went back on. Was the time of back yard, home made cars. 2 Quote Link to comment
