72240z
Both the e21s and e9's look better then 510s in MY opinion. They have a certain class to them the 510 doesnt have.I like some e30's but I think 510's have them beat. 1 Quote Link to comment

72240z
In part maybe but I mean the lines and proportion of them. The datsun designs of the 510 at the time were mostly to get the kids to school or get groceries and to me it shows. The bimmers were being designed on a different level both form and function. Nissan knew it too, its no secret they were copying engine and body designs from various more prestigious car makers and cutting the price point. It was their recipe for success for years. A lot of the cars were either designed by or copied Pininfarina. Its why a lot of cars all look similar at the time. An E21 would be one of the few non-Datsuns I would be interested in driving while I worked on the Dime. Maybe Ill hit CL for something decent... something untouched by Stanceworks-ers. 1 Quote Link to comment
captaingamez
I dont know bimmers that well, I thought it was an e30 with the widebody and all, now I can see the difference. Those e9s are absolutely beautiful. Quote Link to comment

72240z
I have been on an e9 hunt for years. Think I would actually get out of the datsun game for one. Luckily I cant afford a decent one or the parts to restore a shit one lmao. Like 3 years ago I parted out 3 810 diesels that were rotting in a guys backyard in PA. He also had 2 2002's sitting, being taken back to nature. He refused to sell them to me. Said he was going to do something with them "one day"...horders, real shame. Quote Link to comment
Tristin
Theres a 2002 for sale locally with an F20... looks nice. http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/3966438368.html Quote Link to comment
72240z
Ya not bad. I would want red interior but still lol. If I could find an equivalent e9 at that price it would be a wrap. Quote Link to comment

72240z
Ya its true lol I say the same shit about the older 911's. I lust over this e9 1 Quote Link to comment
Tristin
I lust over this e9 That was the first one I can remember seeing after I truely knew what an e9 was... I had scene one driving in Seattle owned by this older couple (45-50), and it seemed like they were just loving life cruising the streets in it. I thought it was a gorgeous car; same color you posted. I just hit CL and found a decent e21 for sale and a price I can afford... then I realized its at near the Oregon/Cali border and Im in Seattle. OkieRA29
There is a black E9 running around town here in OKC. Everytime I see it, it stops me dead in my tracks. Just an all around gorgeous car. BMW nailed it with that one. Sadly, I think that they have lost their way lately, just like most other car makers. Quote Link to comment
72240z
Ya with styling I def agree but they have kicked up their engineering game. The power plants in the current bmw line are RIDICULOUS. Quote Link to comment
oldskoolvws
Here's my 74 currently going under a minor resto. Amazing thing is almost every part for the car is still available......at a co$t. I have E30 as well. 2 Quote Link to comment

captaingamez
Almost every part is still available?, damn that is really impressive, its the same for a lot of Porsche stuff from what I am told too. Quote Link to comment
Tristin
Just another reason for me to pick up an E21. If that one in Oregon wasnt so far away and that ad was a notorious "Oh you just need this one cheap part to get her running perfect" deal then Id just head down there and drive it back. If its just one part, why dont you fix it yourself and sell it in better condition? The hunt continues. Quote Link to comment
