KlassicMotion
The VQ is indeed much bigger, I would be surprised if one would fit in a gt after 1st hand experiencing how hard it is to shoe horn into a z or s chassis. I wasn't comparing the GT to anything really though I would disagree with the class system your using lol. The 510 is in grocery getter class...I would call that comparison apples and oranges. Which makes a good point about the gts lack of performance. Datsuns grocery getter has a way better suspension then opels gt sports car. The Gt is faster to 60mph but 0-60 in 10.6 seconds is nothing to be proud about. Road and track even found it to have bad understeer... The larger, higher comp engine option put out decent power for its displacement and the time but thats about all its got going for it. The Z is def a step up though I agree with that. I think just about any datsun is though. I'm just discussing for convo's sake, can definitely see why people like the car and I bet with a modern power plant and some serious suspension mods the car could be really fun to whip around. I can buy all that. Though my class system was comparing weight, power and price..... Both 510 and GT weigh roughly 2200 lbs (depending on who's scale you use) and both have roughly 100 hp, and both were roughly around $2000 new, and used examples today are again roughly the same price..... Aside from that, yes the 510 is an econo-box with far better suspension, and the GT was a poor example of a GT car! Every car has a different personality and quirks, and I find it fun to try out all the cars I can. Certain ones, I seem to come back to. Agreed, except I'd say all of them from the 60s... B) True, I will give you that. But I'm biased, this was mine for 12 years: 1 Quote Link to comment

captaingamez
Someone should put a 2JZ in that Opel GT Quote Link to comment
72240z
Talk about shoe horning lolYoda-wise I think a Beams 3S-GE or GTE and 6 speed from the Altezza would be perfect. Though my pick would be 3 rotor :-X 2 Quote Link to comment

captaingamez
Thats fucking ill. An LS would be almost insulting when Ford makes awesome, and modern DOHC V8s. 1 Quote Link to comment
