datzenmike
There was something wrong with it and it ran so well? Quote Link to comment
q-tip
The L24 we took out ran great other than the fact that it had 0 compression in #1 and when we tested it out of the car it was pushing air out of the drain plug hole. Quote Link to comment
captaingamez
how many miles did it have on it? Quote Link to comment
q-tip
Couple hundred thousand-ish, had good compression on all other cylinders though. The oil burning was from valve seals that are no bueno Quote Link to comment

captaingamez
NICE MAN!!! thats a long drive, I am guessing your car is pretty damn sealed to drive that far in rain, I just pulled my sunroof apart today to repair the rust on it. Quote Link to comment
LenRobertson
Ritzville? Man, you were really lost to end up there! You must have family there I suppose. I'm about 25 miles N of there, even more the middle of nowhere. My wife works in Ritzville at the Extension Office. My 510 was found behind a barn a few miles W of Ritzville. Good to know your trip went so well. Len Quote Link to comment

LenRobertson
Was raised in Ritzville, family reunion... Congrats on escaping! E WA is like a weird black hole for some of us - can't get away. I made it all the way the East Coast (NJ, Philly, N VA) for a few years, but somehow got sucked back here. I remember the thrill of driving back West and seeing sagebrush again in Kansas. Yeah, sagebrush, cheat grass, and scab rock, that's what resonates to us black hole dwellers. datzenmike - "Town was near abandoned" That is more or less the definition of E WA State! But there are still dead Datsuns to be found in the wild here.
