nismo dr
for a 219? I thinks its great deal for any ready to run (fresh rebuild) closed chamber head let alone a 219 Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
self control is for broke folk, you need a bigger bank account :P Dont we all 2 Link to comment
rat-a-dat-dat
What else would one need to run this? Pistons? Intake? Exhaust mani? Link to comment
nismo dr
What else would one need to run this? Pistons? Intake? Exhaust mani? You don't need an exhaust mani in order to run, but its kinda hard to get it started without pistons or an intake Link to comment
Silky_Johnson
Should also be bolted down to a block. Link to comment
rat-a-dat-dat
Hahaha, ok I had that coming. I have a stock l16 with the exception of a matchbox and 38mm flat tops. Could I bolt it right up as the ad states? Link to comment
Silky_Johnson
Yep, but you'll probably want to upgrade your intake to sidedrafts if you haven't already to take advantage of the potential of the head. 1 Link to comment
datsunaholic
It'll bolt up. The ports won't be the same size unless you already have a (fairly rare) 1.50" port intake manifold. That head looks like it does have the big 1.50" intake ports (not all 219s do). Not a big deal, it'd work. Link to comment
Janksun
Modesto is the next town over if someone needs me to go look at this and get any questions answered I can go look at it Link to comment
wayno
u guys think this is good buy? There are guys asking $600.00 for just a 219 head that needs rebuilt, $550.00 for a rebuilt one is a deal. I spend almost a thousand dollars to make W53 peanut heads into a 219 head copy, I did find out though, that if you find the correct A87 head, it is much less costly to make the same thing, as it already has the big valves. If I didn't already have one myself waiting to be rebuilt, I would likely look real close at purchasing this one. Link to comment
Burabuda
that's a crack'n deal... ran this head with sss su's and it was almost as quick as a mikuni car with a regular head Link to comment
bonvo
Yep, but you'll probably want to upgrade your intake to sidedrafts if you haven't already to take advantage of the potential of the head. he is already running su's according to his post so no need for a different intake Link to comment
