datzenmike
Crank pulleys? Maybe a dozen removed. I just used the 26mm socket and tapped forward on the back. Some jumped right off some took 40-50 taps but they always were moving and gradually came off. Steering wheels? Loosen nut but leave on the last two turns. Strike back sides towards you with palms. Turn head just in case so you don't loose teeth. Never used a puller but only because I don't have one. 1 Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
Steering wheels? Loosen nut but leave on the last two turns. Strike back sides towards you with palms. This. I always leave the nut on 2-3 threads and wiggle the wheel until it pops loose, then remove the nut. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
I have removed too many crank pulleys to count. 300? 400? Normally they all come off with ease. But there are always the few that don't. Yes. Leave a thread or two on-even if using a puller. I have a scar on the outside of my lower lip from my lip being squeezed between my teeth and a stubborn wheel. Quote Link to comment
