correct its an rx7 oil cooler uou can find them in junk yards or ebay pretty cheap

 

update tho , i got my tires mounted up but havent had a chance to cut the lip or put on the flares since im still up in the air about the flares

now im not sure if i should use zg style fender flares like the ones i have now or go another route

Loving the GTR style flares from the pics. All in all it is up to you, but I personally think the flares would look better and require much less work.

 

Another thing to keep in mind, if the stock fenders are modified it can be a real pain trying to fix them. Whichever way you go, I'm looking forward to following this thread. You may have just changed my second datto from a 510 to one of these lovelies :)

the other style isnt fender flares its worked stock fenders thats a whoooooole lot more work to make those look good vs throwing the zgs on it 

i am aware of how much work it is, i might just end up using a different flare style and color matching to the car, i saw an awesome 1200 with colored matched flares somewhere on here

thanks i really like this car it sits in my drive way and i get to look at it whenever i get home and the more i look the more i like :)

the other thing to consider is that the zg flares are bigger allowing you to get more wheel and tire under them over the pulled stock fenders 

 

the 610s ans 710s sheet metal curves in before the fender finishes this looks like crap when its rolled so unless you really want to spend hours and hours on the fenders to get less clearnce then the zgs you already have go for it lol 

 

where did you get the zgs anyway? they look wider then the ones ive seen elsewhere

I saw some this weekend at walmart and they have them at stater brothers too. Quality isnt there but still decent.... hollow them out and fill it with chile con huevo...mmmm
