mcmlxxxv
I dont know that it would have worked for me, but straight cut gears are not a stock or street thing. They are typically very noisy, but strong. Possibly close ratio as well. You probably had something there. I will check with the guy who have it now , I might be able to have it back Quote Link to comment
mcmlxxxv
impossible to get it back but , for those that could be interested it was a tranny from a fiat 124 or most rwd Lada with Colotti gear set  should have sold it lol Quote Link to comment

mcmlxxxv
lol yeah , I will get the enkies rimmed in a few week and will make a fittement test ... I will need some brackets from Dave? well .. those on futofab to get the camber at the good place too.. plus some camber plates for the front .. I saw the top hat you did for your coilover setup it's pretty awsome , I might copy that if you dont mind :P Quote Link to comment

I saw the top hat you did for your coilover setup it's pretty awsome , I might copy that if you dont mind :P You mean the top hat with the needle bearing? That is a MUST! You don't want rotational force going into the spherical bearing. The rear kit that Dave sells is NICE! This one, right? http://www.futofab.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=78:datsun-510-rear-cambertoe-adjusters&catid=22:datsun-510-suspension&Itemid=22 Just remember that you need to either have stock rubber bushings or something else that allows articulation. It doesn't work too well with stiffer Delrin or full-metal bushings. Quote Link to comment
mcmlxxxv
I might just cut the control arm and weld something like I did on the front control arm like a ball end or something like that if the bushing is too worn . it should be alright tho :) Quote Link to comment
mcmlxxxv
installed the wheels ... no real progress but it's damn motivating began to assemble the new engine (just kidding .....) those are parts from a train engine ... just took the pictures for fun :P I needed to sit in it now ahah Quote Link to comment
