mcmlxxxv
well it hasn't been as soon as I planned but here is what I,ve done so far :) patched the huge shifter hole that the previous owner did to fit the dogbox then more floor job... from under the car the box to hold the subframe was like 1 inche too low... I needed to cut the welds and raise it to the floor .. then I installed one weight jack , still have the other side to do and still need to ''box'' it .. motivation ... :P then took a couple of picture of the heads I have laying in the garage , might mix them up to get the best performance possible with that engine I have here. there is one more ported head with a regrind in it too more this weekend ... I hope ... :) Quote Link to comment
mcmlxxxv
one weight jack installed :P and the driver side floor is finished ! I should be able to do the right side today :) also finished the rear wheel well for the flares to fit more tonight maybe :) Quote Link to comment
mcmlxxxv
a bit more... did the other side weight jack and here's the overall view was a bit smokey in the garage .... no more gaz in the welder ... I hoped I'll be able yo prime the whole thing this week end (the lower part ..) but I still have the passenger rocker panel to spotweld and the right wheel arch to finish . But anyway im happy with what I did so far :) the car is much more stiff than it was... well it wasnt at all... Quote Link to comment

EricJB
Very curious about this trans. Straight cut gears in a stock housing? Do you want to sell it? Quote Link to comment
mcmlxxxv
well that wasnt the stock housing ... I ve been told by the previous owner that it came off a fiat . But I didnt found any numbers on it or whatever could help ... I know it was not a stock housing because the bell housing was cut from another transmission and there was a HUGE hole in the tunel for the shifter ... I would have sold it but its already gone to the trash ... :( sorry Quote Link to comment

mcmlxxxv
lol sorry man , I can go back to the scrapyard if you want ahah it should still be there. :geek: Quote Link to comment
EricJB
I dont know that it would have worked for me, but straight cut gears are not a stock or street thing. They are typically very noisy, but strong. Possibly close ratio as well. You probably had something there. Quote Link to comment
