mcmlxxxv Posted July 10, 2012 Report Share Posted July 10, 2012 Here I go!! bought the car 2 weeks ago in this rough shape, no papers and the last owner sold the dcoe45 that were on the engine... : brought the car home still need to make more room in the garage ... : then I started to take it apart ... there was a strange 4 speed dog tranny in it with a few broken gears ... but I will drop a 5 speed or a stock 4 speed in it .. still need to find some infos about drive shafts and splines differences...things like that ... here is the inside of the tranny with then mechanic out I started working on the body , changed the front panel: then removed the doors and the dangerous rollcage that will be rebuild by a professional ... gas tank was clean ! will get it checked anyway.. then replaced the rocker panel on the driver side , passenger to come more progress going on :D Quote Link to comment

mcmlxxxv Posted July 10, 2012 Author Report Share Posted July 10, 2012 in fact it's a camed L20 with big valves ported like hell lol so yes I'll stick with it ...plus I have a lot of spare parts for that engine that came with the car . I will go back to the stock cluster setup , I have like 3 stock dash , but not a single dash frame ... still need to find one :) Quote Link to comment

mcmlxxxv Posted July 10, 2012 Author Report Share Posted July 10, 2012 I would but I tested the gauges and only 2 of them are working... plus, there is no speedo, just a big RPM... the car has been stored for 13 years without windows :( but if you would be interested in selling your dash frame I would be interested :) Quote Link to comment

I needed to have a scale report of the car and an evaluation for the value . After that I wrote a nice story to tell how I got the car an that I 've serched for the last owner and bla bla bla ... 3 day later I got the papers :)!! I would not risk to work on a car that I could lose while trying to put it on the road hehe 1 Quote Link to comment
mcmlxxxv Posted July 23, 2012 Author Report Share Posted July 23, 2012 more progress on the driver side floor ! im getting to it ! then I finally patched the hole in the shock tower after the floor will be over with both rocker panel, I will put the car on 4 stands and remove both sub-frames to be able to repair the frame rails then : rotisserie time !!! mcmlxxxv Posted August 7, 2012 Author Report Share Posted August 7, 2012 finished removing the wiring, and the custom dash frame the last racer did .. here is the trunk floor , not sure of what I will do with it... might just cut the spare tire hole out and weld a sheet of metal there another angle .. and here is what it look like now !
