Fozzy510
hey everyone, im mike.im new to the forum. i got my 72 datsun 510 about 7 months ago. I have been tons of research to do the SR20 swap. I work at a FAB shop so i did some of the stuff already my self. i live in tucson az and im from Tampa, fl. Im in the Air Force too. Im sure i will have tons of questions but dont worry about me asking stupid question because i look for the answer high and low before ill make a post to ask it. I really enjoy seeing everyone's build and how they did it and the creativity that went into them all. Ill be making a post for my ride and what i did and how i did it... maybe itll help some of yall out too. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
Mr. BOHICA
Welcome from a fellow newbie. Um, oics? Quote Link to comment
KELMO
Welcome Mike, now....wheres them oics? If your in Tuscon, there is a Datsun show the first weekend of October in Williams AZ, just a wee bit north of you (close to Flagstaff). This years show will be the second. Its called the Mutli State Grand Datsun Classic. Stick around here awhile and there will probably be a thread started up around June or July. Besides all that did I mention we want oics of your ride? dennis
Why did you weld up the filler vent tube and not the return line on the fuel tank? Looks good by the way. Quote Link to comment
Fozzy510
i had problems with the filler vent so i blocked it on the tank and filler, it wouldnt let me fill over a half of a tank of gas for some reason. Blocked it and now works good. As for the line on top of the tank that is my new vent line for the tank not for the return fuel. When i made the fuel pump assembly one line up top is main feed and other is return line. and also the 2 lines on the bottom of the tank where the original lines were are now filled. WonDereR21
This is awesome, looks like the research paid off! Coming from a fellow Airman it looks great man. Do you live in base housing cause i know at malmstrom they dont allow "major" maintenance in the base housing areas. Good thing I choose to live off base before my 620 fell into place.
