Dime Dave
Wear your Ratsun logo with pride! For your car we have 3” diameter grill badges and for your hat (or lapel) 1” diameter pins, both available for shipping from FutoFab the week of March 26th. Price: Grill Badges - $39/ea + S&H. Hat Pins - $4.50/ea + S&H (S&H is $5 within the US for as many items as will fit in a small USPS Flat Rate Box) To order email Dave@FutoFab.com PayPal is accepted. Here is the design proof. (I’ll post photos of the real thing once they are in hand) The rat is white on a black field ringed with gray. The crossed wrenches, the "RATSUN.NET" text and color outlines are polished nickel plating. The process used to make both the pins and badges is called cloisonné. Basically it is a nickel plated, brass or bronze stamping with recesses for the colored areas. The coloring is hard enamel (glass) poured into the recesses in a molten state. Once the enamel cools the entire surface is polished to provide a flush and glossy finish leaving the raised areas of the stamping as polished nickel. The cloisonné process is one of the highest quality and most durable for this type of an item. We choose it over other options because it will last for years and years. Tristin
Ill reserve full judgement until I see pictures of the real item. It could look nice and with it being made of metal I have no doubts that its of good quality. Link to comment

albyneau
Familiar with the process, and looking forward to seeing the "real McCoy". Maybe a possibility is to offer a few color options~ that the buyers may color-coordinate their new badge with their old rides~ or maybe a budget-badge w/o the glass, that those less fiscally blessed can paint it in on their own.... I think the latter might even be a more popular option. Peace~ Scott 1 Link to comment
