what did you do to your alternator bracket? does the stock one just swivel to fit the KA alternator?

If I may chime in. Busta through bolted his lower bracket and actually had it red rolled for a 10mm bolt. Is that right? But that wasn't because if the alt. I think it was more personal pref.

Aah yes....I did......

The stock bottom bracket has two 8mm bolts that hold the alt in.....

I had it drilled all the way through at 8mm to fit the stock alt.....you need a 5" bolt to make it all the way through.

When I got the KA alt....the holes that mount it to the bottom bracket were 10mm.....

........the top one for the arm was the same 8mm bolt.

I did not have to move or modify the top bracket.

He asked because of this erector set type weird shit going on in another thread.

I needed the windshield wiper linkage for my dads 98 F150 at the junkyard yesterday, and i must have pinched nerve in shoulder (needed his muscle)  ,, so weeeee picked him up a newer pathfinder alternator for his Scoobymobile also.

His is a 79 so it already is internally regulated so it should be almost slamdunk operation.

Got the old warn out crap motor pulled and about ready to pull the crappy 4spd also

5spd in and ready for the new motor

Motor is all ready to be installed

I see......isn't the block on the L20 a little taller??

...................making the height of the pivot bolt a little higher, right??......my bolt sits behind the w/p pulley.....where yours looks a little higher....

I just tilted the bracket down.......it sits close to the alt but clears just fine.........
