aintnobiscuit
ha ha ha ha, not a bad plan. Car is running ok but still getting hotter. My girlfriend and her weird friend are watching me type this on a big TV. They're looking at me right now and are giving me dirty looks because they can see what I'm typing. Everyone is annoyed that I'm watching this video on the big screen while I upload it to youtube and post it on here. Now I'm just typing longer so that they will get more annoyed. They're talking about Penelope, my girlfriend's friend's dog. It's a small dog. Oh, she says it's a yorkshire terrier. I'm actually pretty surprised that they're taking this much interest in what I'm typing. I guess she has a dog (Pomeranian - AKA furry football) on her phone rather than her dog. I think this is a little bit messed up, since you want to rep your own dog. Oh cool. I guess my mom just turned the stove on and walked away with nothing on it so it's burning shit. I'm going to go now since I don't want anyone to kill me and I also don't want the house to burn down. Here's a video from today. Still running a little hot. I'm going to throw another fan on it tomorrow and see how it goes. Hopefully I can take it to Erich and see if he'll let me pay him to start fixing stuff so I can drive it and not be worried all the time. 4 Quote Link to comment
aintnobiscuit
Got a second fan, slightly smaller but similar CFM. Installed that this morning. Just got done checking fluids, re-checking torque on head bolts (they're good and no leaks from HG). I checked all my lights, too. I'm probably going to ditch the very large fan I have and add a second small fan because it's slimmer and with both, that should be 1600 CFM... if that's not enough to cool my car, then I will get a higher quality radiator and keep the small fans anyway. Well, gonna go test and i'll report back in a bit. I really want to get this to Erich's today... I'm gonna do it no matter what! Quote Link to comment

aintnobiscuit
Good things :) Some I won't be able to show for a while until I finish them though. One of them Erich is in charge of, so I'll be putting that up when I get the car back Quote Link to comment

aintnobiscuit
I didn't think my car was that low until I saw it next to some of the other local datsuns. I stumbled across this on Project Midnight Garage's page. I guess my 510 is pretty low. Wish i could have made it to the BBQ, i was at a wedding in SF though :( 2 Quote Link to comment

aintnobiscuit
Yay! Progress!!! Here's some pics of mocking up the mounting brackets for the intercooler and radiator. So exciting! Erich also did a ton of work on the front driver's side where it had crash damage. It was kind of crunched a little. The pictures for that are at home on my external hard drive though, so I can't upload them right now. 1 Quote Link to comment

aintnobiscuit
lol, it barely runs and barely drives. All this work is to change that. I was tripping balls looking at your flow numbers after that port and polish.... i need to do a good p&p job on this head at some point....... FUUUUUUUUUUUU Quote Link to comment
SR20DETdatsun510
Awe Yeah, an update! Hell yes bro! Doing a V mount IC is the only way to go. Glad you did it. Can't wait for more updates.... Quote Link to comment
aintnobiscuit
It's not a V mount, it just looks like it from the pictures. I WISH I had that much room, LOL. Still, cool things are in store. This is just the beginning. Quote Link to comment
SR20DETdatsun510
I do believe that is considered a V mount style IC. When the inlet/outlet exit the face like that, it's considered V mount I'm pretty sure. But non the less, that is the proper way to do it. Fuck the dumb shit like cutting out the high beams or mounting it funky. Looking good mang 1 Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
I do believe that is considered a V mount style IC. I've only seen the term "v-mount" used to described when the arrangement is in the shape of a V. Like this... Quote Link to comment
