Looks to me like oil pressure. But I added the oil gauge/volt pod from the jy and the pressure gauge doesn'twork. Any one know what color wire connects to it? That yellow one is the only one down there but has no connector. this is on an 86 z24 passenger side under the intake mani beside the oil filter

The Yellow /Green stripe wire, when grounded to the block should turn on the RED oil pressure light in the dash when ignition is ON. If the light does not light the wire may be broken somewhere between the sender and the light or the light may be burned out. If the light works but not when connected to the sender then the sender is bad.

On the oil pressure gauge option there is an additional Yellow/Blue stripe wire that when grounded should produce a full scale reading on the oil pressure gauge. If the gauge does not work the wire may be broken/disconnected or no power to the gauge from the dash harness. If the gauge works but not when connected to the sender, the sender is bad.m

Looks like it could be the oil pressure sensor if you just have a light, but if you have a guage you should have the one like in Wayno's pic

:lol:It's probably Datzenmikes photo, I just knew where it was and seen the thread before him. It's not that hard to wire the gauge, I did it, and I am challanged when it comes to wiring.
