What exhaust is best for my 210

I was wanting something with as much balls but be legal, i was looking at the flowmaster super 10 series but i'm afraid of it lol

any suggestions on a better exhaust system?

Flowmasters are gay.magnaflow are stainless steel, they look good and sound good.

The best exhaust is stainless steel, mandrel bent. With a resonator in the middle and a large muffler after that.

 

If your 210 engine is stock, go with 1.75" piping. That and a weber 32/36 will wake it up above 5,000 RPM.

 

If your 210 was originally a 5-speed engine, stay with 1.5" piping for maximum fuel economy.

It's not that cool just an auto but i do want it to be a balance of a good sound, hp, torque and fuel economy if that's possible.

BTW it will have no cat on it, i don't need one where i live.

Small pipes give you torque and fuel economy.

Larger pipe won't you any more HP, unless you fit a larger carburetor.

 

If you want a louder sound, then just fool around with different mufflers. Most guys like the turbo mufflers.

 

With a turbo muffler you have a balance of louder sound with HP and Torque and fuel economy.

Is there a turbo muffler that can fit a 1.5 pipe and if so what should i look for?

Mine is straight piped with 2'' crush bent pipe, and it really isn't THAT loud.

Yes, bigger pipes don't make it louder. A different muffler will make it quiet or loud.

It seems that 2" or more is all that's available for turbo muffler, flowmaster and magnaflow.

is that ok, or is there something i'm missing?:huh:

The muffler shop will still weld it to the 1.5" pipe.

I'm looking at a buch of vid's on mufflers now.

I've listen to a lot of mufflers this weekend and i didn't like what was suggested all that much except the magnaflow.

I looked for video's of 4 cylinder Datsun, Nissan, Toyota and Honda cars and i found that some Cherry bombs

and this Flowmaster dBX Seriers with a 2" in and out i liked the best . But then again, the other video's weren't professionally done so:huh:

L20 with dual weber 40mms

Nice and quiet. not the typical I hear a 510 comming down the street sound.

nice and small and fits the 510 area well.

for a 210 maybe a 1.75 if they make one .

flowmasters are super cool. they have the most hollow, echoe, sound, the most unique sound. a magnaflow is a stainless steel cherry bomb bullet, same 50's technology. i have never liked how the sound on four cylinder engines. i would do a cherry bomb bullet cheap and free flowing.

My stock muffler has a lot of holes in it and it smells up the car and the cat is bad, so i'm doing the whole exhaust system.

I do like that cherry bomb though.

Im running a thrush glasspack /cherry bomb in 2 1/2 in with 2in pipe and it sounds good quiet at idle and loud at wot
