TENDRIL
It's not perfect but it's tight and beats 250$ to pay some one to do it, it's Scion xB rear seat cut and shaved to fit the wagon seat frame and I only needed to trim the material once stretched and fitted, the top is going to be a whole other story.. Front seats will be scionxb as well 3 Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
Well done. 1 Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
Nice retrofit. Looks good. I did a similar thing to a Subaru svx I had. Bought a full set of legacy seats, couldn't make the rear fit well, so I turned the rear upholstery into a snugly fitted seat cover on the back seat and installed the fronts, so I still had a matched set. You're cramming a whole huge number of projects into a small time period. It's gonna be a whole new beast once you have it back on road. Awesome progress man. 2 Quote Link to comment
Swedishcadillac
Haha! I had this idea for my 410 wagon after I finish my other dozens of important jobs. Good job!!! Careful in them parking stalls... 2 Quote Link to comment
TENDRIL
I was going to semi BRE style it however I'm afraid I won't cut the holes the same on each side and than when adding the extra metal afraid of totally warping the thing since all I have is a mig lol Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
How did you get the correct curve for the pattern? I've been wanting to do this but drawing a blank on how to start without remaking it 20 times to get the right curve... 1 Quote Link to comment
Just Joel
Uhhh, make a template out of cardboard ;) 1 Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
More like... Uhhh, make 27 templates out of cardboard ;) I'm just not great at "eyeballing" this sort of thing. They make a tool for doing it, but I haven't seen one in ages... 1 Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
Unless what you're telling me is to use the bottom edge of the panel to make the template (which it kind of looks like he did?). In which case I should have been clear that I want it mounted slightly higher up the valence, so the curve would be slightly different. 1 Quote Link to comment
TENDRIL
There's a few off the car BRE dams here, even still I have had to "file" flap disk/cut, shape it how I want it, keep in mind my apron looks like somebody kicked it a few times and drug it under a horse lol but when I start to tack it to the apron I will hammer dolley to get a close profile but because it's going bare metal for now I'm ok with this, when I do go to paint final one day I will probably re enforce some more and it will get a full day at the bondo/fiber glass spa :D 1 Quote Link to comment
Just Joel
Start there and trim to fit. Come on now, this is the easy part  1 Quote Link to comment

TENDRIL
I should clear it up that it is/will be permenantly fixed to the apron haha Quote Link to comment
TENDRIL
Hmmm in that case .... Time to re-invent the lip!!! 1 Quote Link to comment
