Vendor threads tend to get cluttered up with people simply advertising who don't bother to actually participate in the community. While it helps to keep things organized, it is nice to have people participating actively. Maybe if we did have one eventually, it could have like a 100 post minimum or something before you could start a thread. Link to comment

A honda ruckus was first in line, and had stopped in the cross walk. Then there was the overly cautious prius who gave the honda 2 car lengths. Then me. Then about 6 cars behind me. The light had cycled 2 times without giving us a green. I had to get out of my car, walk up to the prius, knock on the window and tell him to "inch up" to trigger the sensor in the road. Like magic, as soon as I was back in my car the light turned green...hmm oh and... IBTL! Link to comment

But no place for people trying to "contribute" to the datsun scene. I personally don't like bumping my own threads I feel like a pompus ass doing that all the time. The for sale section shit disappears, The search engine sucks. The only sticky I see is Icehouses stuff, nothing against jeff but seems a bit unfair. I'm not complaining about Ratsun but I think it could be a way better place. There is no dedicated place for porn here...there are a couple threads hijacked, but that's what the community is posting. This entire forum is "a place for people trying to "contribute" to the datsun scene." Why would you not bump your own for sale thread? It's not like bumping it once a week will hurt your reputation and you would probably get more response from a bump than a sticky. I for one hit new posts to view the forums, so I would never see your sticky thread unless you bumped it anyways. I haven't had a problem searching here, haven't even used the google search method in a long time. Just got to know the right word to search for. It is Jeff's forum, he can sticky whatever he wants. This place is what the members have made it. As far as ratsun.net goes, it isn't here to sell a product or make a buck. We are here to share ideas and bullshit about Datsuns and whatever else comes up. Sure we could charge venders a fee, we could charge users a fee too...then we would be rich and could take over the world, but I'd rather bullshit about Dattos with like minded individuals and not have to look at stupid google ads... When i bought doors from philcus they were on like page 4, when i bought Pumpkins master power brake booster it was on it`s way to scrapper,( that day ) i just happened to see it in his photo heavy post. The only thing i have ever had a problem with is coming up with the cash for all the great deals that go through this site every single day.. Post lots of pictures make it worth what your asking bump...bump..bump I would like to add i have only bought and gave away parts so my opinion is probably invalid (edit) ok, i took me so long to word my response i would like to change it to exactly what it says in post #32 Link to comment
