Identify this thermostat housing

I have 2 of these that came from a 69 510 4 door in a junkyard. The engine was missing, but these were in the car, and it had a Z transmission. They don't appear to be from an L16. Any ideas?

Wild assed guess, late model metric 1600 roadster or 2 liter roadster housing.

I have one somewhere and the thermostat housing to go with it. It on a 4 cyl L head but might be from a I6.

Now the one you have could be off anything, even a tractor. But Nissan did have them and they did fit the L heads. I just seem to remember seeing one on inline six and thinking, that where they come from..

Definitely not a Roadster part. The 3 bolt thermostat housing has a filler cap on the top of it. The 2000 part that looks like that is only 2 bolt.

Looks like Australia or elsewhere, 200B, Violet... the Auzy 720s use L series motors

Weird. I wonder what motor he was running with the Z transmission.

 

So does anybody want these? I can't use them.

I just took one off my l20b, that one looks very similar! The taller hole is the anchor point for the hard fuel lines, if I had to guess, I'd say l20b.

It might have been used on the L20B but everyone I have ever seen does not have it. It would fit any 4 or 6 cylinder. I did see one on a 280z once figured they were from them, but who knows?

 

 

Found it

 

It was factory on the May '78 and on 200sx. and would require the different bottom housing half as well that bolts to the head.

in the Felpro kits there will be a 2 or 3 hole top housing gasket.

 

Most I see are the 2 hole kind but there are the 3 holes also.

most early ones were 2 hole
