VoidDragon
Alright, just bought a 72 Goon, pics incoming but i had a question on the glass. I can find seals, but apparently aftermarket glass is a no go, correct? So has anyone done any researching into a glass that is close? I dont mind metal work, as Im having to make rocker panels and some doglegs from scratch anyhoo, and I want a roof rack, possibly sunroof or glass panel in roof like modern nissans have. Any one have any ideas on a windshield thats close to right? Quote Link to comment
greengoon
It was close to 8 years ago but back then I just ordered a windshield from a local company and they came and put it in, just like a newer car. Have you called around to local glass shops? Quote Link to comment
merlin
I just bought 2 new 510 windshields... pilkington glass (UK co now owned by nissan lol) you need to do a group buy... there's a thread on it on the 510realm. Quote Link to comment
D52E
I believe that all 510 PL510 1968 - 1973(2 dr. 4 dr. and Wagon) used the same windshield (please correct me if I'm wrong). As far as I know there are 3 options available for front windshields. 1) source a good used one from a wrecking yard or someone parting out a car. 2) Chinese replacements from FUYAO glass. This is commonly available from prosourceglass on eBay ($134). I purchased one from another company in Southern California for $100 about 6 months ago. 3) Pilkington Glass from the UK. As mentioned previously, there was a group buy on the 510realm but I believe they have all been sold. Perhaps another group buy will happen later. Good luck! Quote Link to comment
Creepy Cruiser
I just got one from a local mobile glass guy a couple weeks ago. It was in town in the warehouse, and it was pretty cheap, $150ish. I'm sure it's just a cheap one, but it works great. And if it gets broke easy from a rock chip, that's what I have insurance for, lol. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Good question. I have been wondering this myself. I have a crack front top to bottom and it is entirely delaminated. Quote Link to comment
Duncan
DatsunlandSocal has aftermarket ones listed on his site, but they are pickup only. Here's an ebay seller that will ship. ebay seller Quote Link to comment

datsun8
I got one from speedy glass in WA. Can't remember if they're nationwide. Just start askin' glass shops on the phone. You can get 'em. Cheap enough to not be worth doing it yourself. I think I paid $200 for the whole thing installed. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
For those prices from the shops are you supplying new seals or the old seals being re-used? Quote Link to comment
Creepy Cruiser
Mine came with a new Malaysia seal, for an extra $75 or so. Quote Link to comment
