Skib
so wait, did you paint it purple or are they really making purple 510 hot wheels now? looks like a white one with a stain glass purple over the top Quote Link to comment
skunk
yeah, but zerow said he got this one, but then again they are the same pic... Bought today: New Purple Hot Wheels 510... Now, if it would just come in the blue like my car... Quote Link to comment
Skib
looks like a white one too me Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
I keep buying hotwheels. I have to say the 510 models are made super well, they roll very nicely and go fairly straight. This is true for the skyline as well, but certain cars like the viper and chevelle just cant roll right to save their life. Quote Link to comment
skunk
yeah if you read the last page, people were talking about the purple ones like thats the new color. but as soon as i saw the pic i thought "you have to be fucking kidding that looks like crap (for a hot wheel)". id be all for hotwheels making a purple 510 but that looks like some one painted a white one. i know they are going to do another color soon enough i just dont want to go looks for shit that isn't there. The Dat-side
The white one has red interior. The purple black. I almost think it was a mistake and they're just selling them off. Jun said there was a special 510 coming in 2011. I can't wait for the old school Skykine! Quote Link to comment
gumbyz13
I have a bunch of each color. Find them alot at Walmart and Target. Here is one I customized in an attempt to make it look like my car. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
That is clearly a white car with the wheels from the white car. All the 510s have logos over the paint, not under. Drill out one post on the car and you can swap stuff easily. I want to grab the black interior and smoked glass from an orange car, the wheels from a white car, and custom paint the rest of the car. The Dat-side
Yeah I thought that might be the case. I'm headed to check the store now. So if there are new ones. I'll get em. But if there aren't, I'll still get the old ones :D Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
I have like 5 yellows, but went to freddys here in corvallis, and they still have a ton of white ones, but not one yellow. Quote Link to comment
The Dat-side
Zero 510s. But I did find this for $1.99 Quote Link to comment
The Dat-side
Found this the other day, not a 510 but there should be a 510 in this line up soon. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Ah yes, The Freddies down here has those. Had like 6 different models. Quote Link to comment
The Dat-side
Ah yes, The Freddies down here has those. Had like 6 different models. 510 is supposed to be one of them, but damn $3.99! Quote Link to comment
jun
510 is supposed to be one of them, but damn $3.99! It will be worth the extra cost. It's a replica of John Morton's BRE car, with tons of deco (the $1 cars can't compare to the deco level) has a metal chassis, and 2 piece wheels and tires. The 2011 Vintage Racing line is one that I worked quite hard on. I hope you guys enjoy the 510 in there, it's kind of an odd fit in a line full of American muscle...but the BRE 510's track history made it instantly justifiable for the Trans-Am segment within the Vintage Racing line. The Dat-side
Sweet. I'll be buy the American cars too for the wheels. I checked the Hot Wheels wiki too. Got a list of which nissans or other cars I'd like to get and what the numbers/series are. A couple skylines (including a Hako), 350z, and an S15. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Jun, I have read that a few are expecting a "Z" car to appear in the list as well. http://www.inflexwetrust.com/2010/11/19/hot-wheels-vintage-racing-line/ Any hints as to whether the speculation is true? Quote Link to comment
808DA6
Jun, when is the release date? Is it going to be a limited run? Quote Link to comment
The Dat-side
Damn! Just saw there is supposed to be a 240z in the treasure hunt series. Now I'm going to have to either buy all the treasure hunt ones or get some X-ray glasses. Quote Link to comment
izzo
the treasure hunt ones have a small hole in the back so you can peek in Quote Link to comment
yello620
Treasure hunt cars have clear cases, the mystery cars have the black cases and the hole in the back. I have been told that they have numbers on the cards that tell what is inside. Quote Link to comment
jun
Good luck finding the T-hunt 240Z's. The collectors will be out in force for that one- If you really want one you will probably have to go the ebay route and pay up for them! Collectors have the T-hunts on lock, that's for sure.
