Simon89
I have a question. Say you were to use a dry sump and were able to mount the engine lower would this allow you to not have to make the gearbox tunnel so big? Or does it have to be in that position so you don't end up with an angle on the tail shaft? Quote Link to comment
Simon89
What motor mounts did you use? Quote Link to comment
electron_si
Update: October 31, 2013 Well I haven't been on here in a while, of course I've been busy. The car is of course still in paint, It's going on almost 2 years now. The latest update is that they had it in the paint booth and notice that the sheetmetal had warped from the car being turn on the rotisserie, so they took it off and put it on a frame cart, and are basically re-doing a majority of the body work. We did have the suspension parts powder coated and got the hubs painted and put back together with spherical bearings to replace all the old rubber crap. It's going to ride like a race car but it will not have the mushiness that it used to. Quote Link to comment

Duke
Looking very nice. Where did you source the spherical bearings for the rear control arms from? Quote Link to comment
electron_si
All the suspension parts came from Ermish racing. Quote Link to comment

electron_si
Back from the dead. We are currently trying to get the car out of paint after almost 3 years. The body shop, pushed it back into a corner and stopped working on it. We were busy and didnt have time to constantly put pressure on the owner to finish it. The car now just needs paint, its sitting in final primer waiting for the booth. Here are some pics from the body shop and before it went in. Quote Link to comment
DottiBlue
I forgot about this thread. Was excited when I remembered what it was. Hopefully it won't be another three years till you get it on the road! Quote Link to comment
