I think it looks more like a Toyota to me. The back of the bed looks different to a 520.

I think it's a 521, the bed has that "look at me, I dont line up with the rockers" kind of look to it. That sucks :(.

pretty sure it looks like it has fender arches or something around the wheel wells. I dont think its a datsun but I can be sure. peace.

That picture has been around a LONG time. I first saw it in 2002, but it had been published in a magazine years before that.

Just look at the upper rear of the box at the tailgate. Too pronounced to be a 521/620.

look at the lower rear section behind the tire.See the way the bed curves and the lower section looks seperate.Those features resemble a 620 to me.The cab resembles a courier/b1600 but,after all it is small and boxy because it is being hit by a plane.

I still say, '75-78 ish Toyota Hilux. The front bumper is too substantial (and flat) to be a 620, and the rear bed is too square. Toyotas of that vintage (as did ALL Japanese pickups until the 1980s) had the bed skirts that didn't line up with the rockers.

 

Also, a Datsun until the very late 70s probably would not have rear quarter lights in South America (where the picture is allegedly shot from, Colombia or Equador) but Toyotas did. There is a visable rear quarter light.

No idea on whether or not it is a Toyota, but it appears to have rear fender flares... I don't think the early Datsuns did, at least not the 520's and newer...

if this is from a movie then no harm no foul. the roof does look a bit boxy like a toyota.
