Cam timing was good, all the lash pads are present, cam sprocket dowel present and intact, the only thing I didn't change when I rebuilt the motor was rings and lower end bearings....

I still wanna know what happened cus I can't stand not knowing, but a new bottom end will be assembled by the machinist this week.

Wait, im scared about flat tops in a L20...

With an open head, you are at almost 10.1:1 CR. And will ping with Premium.

With a Closed head, you are at 10.8:1 CR. Pinging characteristics will be different, as closed chambers dont ping as much (quench area), but this is still silly high compression.

The motor will come back next week sometime so I'd like to have everything else wrapped up by then.

On the list:

IR alt swap - need to wire it

Pull what's left of the motor and trans

Put on the new front breaks

Clean all the parts that are going on the new motor

And what ever else I'm forgetting
