tdaaj
armrests were a rare option but they were available Quote Link to comment
Bugeye
both of my doors have them Quote Link to comment
denveratsun
PICS!!!!!!!!!!:D Especially of the "factory option" ones! How cool is that! Mine is GONNA have them...but they will not be factory, well...Oldsmobile factory! Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
All the doors from '71-on have the provision, doors before '70 don't. But not all were drilled for them, and very few actually HAD them. But it's not difficult to add them, get a used armrest, drill the holes in the door oversize and install the clips and the armrest. Madness
I'm actually kinda curious too. Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
if you have a owners manual there is a pic of the original style in it. i got my pair off a 720 i think. one door had holes i had to drill the holes in the other door. some of the options on the 521 were so rare nobody has actually seen or had them. i've never seen an original pair. never seen door jam light switches on a 521 but added my own. they were also an option. i've seen the clock but it's super rare. dat521gatherer
from my 71 521. these are off a 210 i think and look more like the pic in the owners manual. the locking glovebox knob is cool to find. the red light switch knob is cool to have also and lets not forget the 520 chrome inner door handles and 520 metal package tray. some of the nice upgrades to have. Cuts metal like mad
The red knob I believe comes from a 521 hazard switch, at least thats where I found mine... Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
yeah thats what i've been told and what i believe but the knob has the headlight symbol on it not the hazard symbol. all of them. so i use mine as the headlight knob. Quote Link to comment
Str8_69
My 69 has them on both doors. Look original to me but does anyone know for sure? They were there before we re-did the interior. Link to my post pics.. http://forum.ratsun.net/showthread.php?t=14693  Quote Link to comment
fisch
My 521 driver door had an arm rest. I always thought it was added on, but who knows? Maybe it was the option? It had the dealer installed AC as well and the stock radio speaker, so maybe the buyer optioned it out? Anyway it looked close to a 510 (or was it 620) arm rest with that little piping in a groove. Saddly it had been leaned on enough over the years that it was broken out in the back mounting surface. Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
here's the manual pic. probably the same armrest as the 510? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Yes, the plain style is 1970s 510, B110, B210, 620, etc. The one with simulated stitching (blue truck pic) is from the 1980s: 720, B310 "210", etc. They aren't rare, but it's hard to find a pair that aren't pulled out of shape. sdsurf
do you think it is the same armrest as out of a 510? If so I want one. Also, I am remembering the 521 my dad bought original in '71 had armrests. It also had the door switch. I would love to get those (orignal of course) and put them in. Quote Link to comment
sdsurf
510 original armrest. same as 521? Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Ah you are right. Datsun 1200 in USA didn't get those, instead we got 80940-H1100 armrest. My JDM 1200 has door pulls like those. I have two like this bottom one: Edited September 22, 2009 by ggzilla Quote Link to comment
