What is this bracket for?

Here are some pictures of a bracket that I thought was for an AC compressor for a L20B.

 

What is it for and what vehicle does it fit?

Any information regarding this bracket would be appreciated.

I have an AC bracket somewhere, remind me tomorrow and ill take a pic of it so you can see what it looks like :D

isnt that a alternator bracket? could be ac..

it is the bracket that holds the air pump and belt tensioner for a L series and mounts on the left lower side of the engine....

 

the first pic is showing it upside down..

 

it should be painted blue..

i just went and looked at all my alt brackets and they look nothing like that.

 

it must be the a/c bracket

I went and looked at my 78 620 and a L20 motor out of a 620 in the storeage shed and it looks just like the pictures. :P

420n620 is correct. I was at a JY a few months ago and saw a datsun truck that same bracket. I believe that bracket holds both the air pump and the alternator.

I thought the AC on a 620 L series was located on the top right, thats where a buddy of mine was.. :confused:

i just took mine off, it was for the smog air pump

ya, it didnt look like the alt bracket for sure, similar.

 

my ac bracket is off a Z24 engine tho, but they mount in the exact same spot on the motor, in fact i tested it on the L series and it will fit on the block and all bolts will go thru, even lines up correctly with the crank pulley
