510 sedan Rear Crossmember (subframe) Bushings?

Recommended Posts

Who sells polyurethane bushings for the rear subrame crossmember?

I am talking about the big ones (3.5" or so...) that go in the very ends of the crossmember.

I have used "savage washers" ( thanks Gary!) in the past, but now I am looking for a little more tightness (is that a word?)without solid mounting it.

thanks

You could mail them and ask if they just could sell the ones you need..??

Does anybody know the the difference in poly and urethane?

Or is it any?

Polyurethane products are often called "urethanes". They should not be confused with the specific substance urethane, also known as ethyl carbamate. Polyurethanes are not produced from ethyl carbamate, nor do they contain it.
They're polyurethane...people sometimes just call them urethane.

Polyurethane may not be to bad for the rear sub frame bushings but I wouldn't use it anywhere else! Junk IMO. I like the guys idea on the realm. He turned out some aluminum bushings to replace the stock rubbers on the rear sub frame.
