  3. im not disagreeing with any one but on the 260z after doing a r200 convertion the plug was so damaged and seized that a 12inch pipe wrench with 3 foot braker pipe had no effect ,,then i used a propane torch on the steel plug for 30sec then sprayed it with cold water out of a spraybottle ,,it took almost no effert to remove after that ,,and no damaged threads.. this is just what has worked for me ,,,please remember that their is fuel under there,,

  5. not to be picky but the banks parking lot is always pretty full,, and will be hard to leave the bank going north on sierra to enter spring st the place (that they want the cars to enter from),,i think that johns idea {datrod} is a little better ,, i go to this show every month with my family,,and have seen datrod there just my .02cents but ill meet up where ever the group does brent

  9. i sorry ,,but did every writer die in hollywood ,,we get 6 rehashed old movies a year ,,maybe one completly new idea movie ,,and price of a seat keeps incresing ,, i have family in movie biz they say as long as the public is paying why take risks some of you on here state that the big 3 auto makers for years keept makeing cars they wanted too force us to buy ,,not the cars that the customer realy wanted,,thats how the off shore companys got a stronghold here ,,hollywood claims that people dont go out to the movies like they use to,, sorry for the rant,,just my opinion

  11. memo its all datsun parts ,,but the carbs are l6 z {240-260} and the manifold is l4 {l16-l18} ,,the main problem is that the linkage will need to be home made as the carb butterflys open the opsite way ,,and the linkage will bind ,,so some cable will need to be fabed up,,and to get the carbs to seal well there will need to be manifold to carb adpater made
  12. if you do choose to go the 4.2 route ,,please give us some dimensions, bellhousing boltpattern and static compression ratios ,,as i could not find clear info on this eng,,thanks,,this looks like an interesting thread,, keep us posted on your progress,,it doesn't sound like the ney-sayers can dissuade you,,which is refreshing

  14. in the U.S. there are some uper end tire shops that shave tires down ,,{like when you have a blow out on a all wheel drive car ,,and only get one tire ,they shave that tire to match the other three ,,so not to damage the center diff,,} you can check for a tire shop that does it around you that has that ability
  15. fisch if you cant find the firing order any where ,,you can allways take off the valve cover ,,start at top dead center ,,turn over the eng and watch the intake valve rockers ,,as you turn the eng two full rotations it will show the witch is {1st,2nd,3rd,4th},then set the distro at top dead ,,and rewire the plugs

  17. i had cut most of the metal to make a hho gen but lost interst with all the drilling ,,stainless steel kills drill bits

    lowering blocks in the back ,,the front has torsion bar ,,they are adjusted at the back of the transmisson just crank them down evenly,,if you go very low your need shorter shocks
