  1. If you post pictures of your existing bellhousing there is a excellent chance the guys on here could tell you if it's Datsun or even what type of Datsun engine it used to have ,, if it had one . There is some serious Datsun savants on here . .
  2. Me and my brother drove a ford focus to our first Canby in 2009 wasn't till 2010 i rode in a Datsun when we drove his 4door 510 Someone posted on facebook a while ago asking who in the puget sound drives a Datsun,,,, i shit you not, there was at least 40 pictures posted... I had only seen MAYBE 7 of them not counting Olympia guys and of those 7, maybe 2 that had went to a meet that wasn't Canby in years.. buncha too good to be forced to interact with the rif-raf truck /B210 driving guys ,, anymore to be honest. They have become the new aint social roadster geezers for the new generation . :fu: At least when you have a BBQ, all 5 guys that live there  show,,, Bunch of facebook posers over here for the most part.
  3. The replacement glass fuel filter part number is known by a least these two members by the names ]2eDeYe, and/or HOGIE I believe the part# is referred to in both of these but i'm to lazy to click through the threads right now Clickity,, clickity http://community.ratsun.net/topic/69708-my-1967-rl411-station-wagon-canby-or-bust/page-1 http://community.ratsun.net/topic/70748-barnlove/page-1 If you don't find info in those somewhere you don't have to ask in their threads,,, you can send them a PM i'm sure they will help you .
  4. We don't need no Toyota SUV hogging up parkin spaces anyways, ya white bread, skitchum head, mutherfucker /
  5. I would comment but i see no pics to back up this outlandish claim of being in possession of a "521" as you put it.
  6. Me, Juan-Ear and Fuckin Ted are driving to the coast, out to WetPit rod run tomorrow ( Saturday July 21st). We are leaving here in Tumwater Walmart aboot 8-8:30am and be in WetPit about 10-10:30 and get breakfast . After dinking around there for a few hours ( if we get in that is) we have to go to Grayland for an hour or so, to parents old house .. There is a bathroom and what-not there ( this isn't my place in North Cove ) this is in downtown Grayland. Show is for 72 and earlier cars but flyer says they might make an exception Roll with us or not ,, we are going to talk shit about you either way. It's this http://www.westportgrayland-chamber.org/photos_eastside_street_rods.php# Last page for pics .
  7. Is the carburetor a stock Hitachi or Weber ? If it is stock Hitachi and you took it off and turned it upside down at any point to clean or whatever... They don't like that,, i don't know why if it's built up sediment that gets loose or just something else,, but i seen it do exactly what you're describing a couple of times. Try taking out the screw in plugs under the float bowl ( you can do this without removing carb from engine) and run some clean gas or carb spray through ,, into,, it. Before all the Weber lovers get on here and spew their hate.. A Hitachi is a thousand times better daily driver carb than a Weber will ever be without jetting and all that horseshit. Hitachi's aren't that hard to learn to rebuild if you are at all not a knothead, and have a clean,, and very organised work space the first time you try.. I just noticed this is posted in wrong section .
  8. The car isn't that "delicate" of a car but the consumables that you will wear out by driving it hard or often will definitely give you a ball ache for sure. Windshields are all but impossible to find and those with a good extra one, aren't likely to ever sell you one. .... ever. Tie rod ends can be probably be found if you research alternate cars ,, because of SAE thread. BUT , lower ball joints are pretty insane to find in new shape but ( i read on the internets) there is a company that rebuilds them for just under $300. A PIECE. I smash my 411 quite a bit ,, on our local idiots backroads cruises and such but i also have 3 4 parts cars in my backyard . 510s are quite a bit higher initial investment ,, than the 410/411 but parts are 1000x easier to find,, and be able to buy,,,,,, but if you drive the 411 regularly, the chances are someone might walk up to you out of the blue and tell you where there might be a parts car. So there's that BUT having typed all that ^^^ i sold a running, driving, dependable, 510 to buy a 411 ,, cuz fuck 510,, Style is everything /
  9. If you switch pulley will belt work? Or is it not lining up ?
  10. Whilst i'm here.. At the Fred Meyers in Tumwater last night there was a bunch of the black/red Zs ,, dark blue Zs and the primer green(?) roadsters.. if anyone cares. a couple or three Green roadsters at ACE hardware on 93rd across from pilot also,, by checkout. GO!!
  11. In case you are thinking of giving up on any emblems ,,,, i got a free very low mileage 94 dodge minivan that had a water leak.. I figured fix it,, put studded snows on it, and the boy could use it over at the university cuz if snow chains break it won't be no big thing to drive till safe to change. And as the Hanson brothers would say dents would make it look tougher. Long story short,, i got the engine all the fricking way down to a long block,,, BUT it's going back together now so ,,,,,,,,, soon ,,,, very soon. Or not ,, i don't know any more.
  12. So Ratpeetroll gave me these .. For this corroded piece of history Even after i told him i would give it to him FOR FREE  AAA+++ will trade again . . .
  13. I just noticed i had added no encouragement "likes",,, that has been fixed.. :) :) .
  14. Yup.. left rear lowest ,, right front highest to counter the dive as you hit brakes and go into corner. if you go out to short track you will also notice every tire is a different size and tire pressure also.. that's why there is also a rule how much camber the right front can have cuz guys will extend lower control arm and try to almost lay the right front tire parallel to the ground if there wasn't .. Oh and Paradime,,, i think maybe you should stick with racing around closed Kmart parking lots. ;)
  15. Ain't gonna lie i just googled emancipated to make sure that's the right word..... .
  16. Cherokee don't need a blood test to prove your one.. The government was kind enough to write everyone's name down when they marched them to Oklahoma . You aint on the list,,,,,, you aint a Cherokee or "Delaware Cherokee" as she calls herself.. Besides the four other tribes (Creeks, Choctaws, Chickasaws, and Seminoles.) there are also members that were emancipated African slaves, and they are members of the Cherokee nation under the title Freedmen ,, and they get all the rights and benefits the naive peoples get. Although i think they tried to kick them out a few years ago .. lol TL/DR she's lying . . . .
  17. the tech guys go by THEIR rules. And having raced circle track from age about age 15 till i had kids at 29 ,, i can assure you sneaking dual carbs by them by citing some obscure ,, to them,, model sounds like a recipe for in the pits carb change before race. The tech guys go by THEIR rules. and they can be rather prickly about it if they want cuz it's THEIR track Just get a big port L20b manifold and 32/36 or 38/38 and call it good Whoops that was supposed to be edited into last post ,,
  18. I understand why you think you can use them ,, BUT In the link posted above Use your home track’s stock entry-level 4 cylinder rules with the exceptions listed the rules linked below All Door Bar & Caged Hornets welcome. Enduro Rules and Enduro addendum available here: NASCAR Rules Hornet rules 4. No cars with rotary engine, turbocharger, all-wheel drive, 4-wheel steering, supercharger or other factory performance enhancements are allowed. 5. Cars that don't meet the above criteria that have been allowed to run at Evergreen Speedway in the 2015 race season will be grandfathered in. Possibly with penalties NO NEW BUILDS. My first post was a rhetorical question to be honest , .
