If i had the option of keeping a stock Hitachi that was working correctly or switching it out for a weber ,,i would try to keep the Hitachi..We stripped almost all the smog stuff off my sons 78 wagon and kept the stock carb and he has had absolutly no problems when the weather changes and it was already tuned to the engine.. unlke almost every weber your going to buy... It was snowing last night 34 degrees and after sitting for a week ( because of traffic ticket punishment ) fired right up and idled and drove off.. not missing a beat... A ton of engineering went into that carb and when working properly it shows,,,,something to think about if truck is daily driver.

It does look like one of those hot rod type generic flex-a-lite fans to me to... yours looks to be stainless fins but i have bought them with fiberglass fins so we could cut them to fit easier... (edit) but by my posts on here you can tell i know very little about b210s

I vote no on the funky paint and go for the clean badass look ...You never see a b210 cleaned up and tricked out to show the true potential of these always picked on step child ...Screw 510s they have been done over and over and over again,,, hell the parts are so prevalent and cheap for 510s you can build a junker to a beater driver in a couple months,,,,try doing that with a b210..YO my vote is something like this I got kinda ranting there for a second..

Take the 510 for a long drive even offer to buy him some gas, to see how it runs or over heats, or dies even when driving,, , if owner doesn`t want to then i would pass .. IMO,,The miata is a 100% safer car if in a wreck ,,even if it is a convertable.. Ad mentions coil overs but doesn`t say they are zx struts with the bigger zx brakes.
